A cold glint flashed through Isaac's eyes. "Do I need to report to you guys about my whereabouts?"
Respect instantly filled the few individuals in Isaac's presence.
"Mr. Salter, we wouldn't dare."
"What are you staring at? Got a death wish?"
They felt a pang of unwillingness. The benefits they were about to receive were now snatched away. How could they swallow this?
Isaac leaned against the door. His cold eyes instilled fear in them. They wanted to run, but Nathan and his men blocked their way, leaving them no chance to flee.
Bang!
Isaac shut the door.
Brittany came out of the bathroom, her breath slightly trembling. "Mr. Salter, thank you for helping me."
Isaac walked to the wardrobe, opened the door, and took out a white shirt, unfolding it slowly.
Brittany saw the scratches on his back and the words stuck in her throat.
Looks like Mr. Salter's wife enjoyed this game... His back was all marked up!
She turned her head, unable to look at him anymore.
Isaac buttoned up his white shirt, turned around, and noticed Brittany's flush face, her gaze wavering. "What's up?"
"Those people were arranged by Loraine."
Brittany licked her lips. She wasn't a fool, of course; she knew if it wasn't for Loraine's instigation, who would ruin this engagement banquet?
Isaac raised an eyebrow.
Loraine was playing nice with Brittany in public while plotting against her behind her back!
"And why are you still here?"
Brittany clenched her fists. "Mr. Salter, you're Derek's friend. I hope you won't cover for her!"
Brittany didn't dare to make a direct request to Isaac. She said thanks and left.
Isaac straightened his clothes and dialed Nathan's number. "The videos and photos we prepared earlier, switch them now."
He had given Loraine a chance.
Brittany exited the room. She didn't rush downstairs. Instead, she chose an empty room to wait.
Loraine wouldn't give up so easily.
Soon, she'd definitely make a move!
...
Downstairs in the banquet hall, the engagement party was about to begin.
