Was he hiding something from her?
A memory of the candy from his pocket flashed across Brittany's mind.
"Mr. Salter, Jason decided to sue, and he's contacted the press. He's planning a press conference."
Nathan bitterly said, "This is obviously intentional; he's trying to corner Ms. Dustin."
Isaac rubbed his temples. He knew that Jason's actual aim was not the press conference but some hush money.
"What are his terms?"
"Five percent stake in Grandeur Capital."
The more Nathan thought about it, the angrier he got. Jason kept claiming it was for his daughter, but in reality, he was only looking out for himself.
"Give him what he wants."
Nathan's face changed instantly, "Mr. Salter, this..."
With five percent of the shares, the dividends alone would be in the tens of millions each year. How could he willingly give this large sum to Jason?
"Shut Jason up! If he continues to make a fuss, don't blame me for not being polite!"
Isaac hung up the phone, returned to the room, picked up the thermos on the bedside table, and poured her a bowl of soup, "You haven't eaten anything since you woke up; have some soup."
Brittany refused to open her mouth, but she was indeed hungry.
Isaac sat by the bed, feeding her with a spoon, and Brittany couldn't help but open her mouth.
The warm soup drove away the chill, and Brittany's appetite was ignited, and she ate two bowls of soup before she was satisfied.
"If you like it, I can make it for you again tomorrow."
Isaac finished the rest of the soup, heated another basin of water, brought it over, and extended his hand to Brittany.
"What are you doing?"
Brittany instinctively covered her chest, her face turning red.
Isaac found it amusing; they already had a child; was there a part of her body he hadn't seen?
"You can't get out of bed right now; let me help you wash."
Brittany blushed, "No, I can do it myself."
