Isaac's mood plummeted after hearing the old lady's words. "Nathan, we're heading back home!" he said sternly.
"But Isaac..." Joie didn't want to leave. She had barely gotten the chance to go abroad, and now it was all being messed up because of Brittany!
Isaac strode towards the car, swinging the door open. "If you don't want to go back, then stay here!" All he could think about was that Brittany was in trouble.
Joie had no choice but to get in the car.
"Mr. Salter, the next flight isn't until eight tonight."
"Charter a private plane," Isaac ordered in a low voice. "Also, find out what's going on back home!" He had just left the country, and trouble had already struck. Those guys must have been prepared!
In less than an hour, they had reached the airport. Derek Bishop stayed behind in Y Country to handle business while Isaac boarded the plane with Nathan and Joie tagging along.
"According to current investigations, the last person Mr. Carrol saw before he died was Ms. Dustin," Nathan reported truthfully to Isaac.
"And what about Bri?"
"Didn't the Chester family bail her out?" The Chester family had always treated Brittany as their own daughter. How could they abandon her in a time of crisis?
"The Chester family's bail attempt failed."
Isaac knew that those people behind this must have been certain he couldn't make it back in time before they dared to treat Brittany this way. He dialed Brittany's number, but there was no answer.
"Where's Bri?"
Nathan clamped his mouth shut. Grace had instructed him not to reveal the true situation back home until after they had landed.
