The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 369

Even after he regained consciousness, Brittany was nowhere to be found.

William was trying to comfort Mrs. Dillion patiently, but she was on a roller coaster of emotions and eventually passed out.

The servants took her away, and Timothy just stood there.

"Dad, don't push Brittany."

The first thing William did after waking up was to check on Brittany.

Timothy was ticked off. "William, what are you thinking? She's married now, and you've given up so much for her. Has she even noticed you?"

He couldn't believe his golden boy of a son could be so head over heels for Brittany!

If Brittany fancied him, he could come to terms with that!

But Brittany was already married and even had a baby with another man. How could he stomach that?

Biting back the pain, William said, "Dad, does it matter if she notices me?"

It did matter, but not that much.

He cared more about her safety than her attention.

After William pleaded again, Timothy shot him a look of annoyance. "I get it. I've never hurt her. You need to rest."

After Timothy left, the ward was dead quiet, like a ghost town.

The anesthetic was still working, so William didn't feel the pain. He could only feel the emptiness where his legs used to be.

He closed his eyes, and after a while, a tear slipped from the corner of his eye.

The ward was deadly quiet except for his faint breathing.

...

In her dream, Brittany felt a splitting headache, but she couldn't fully escape from that gloomy world. After an unknown time, Brittany suddenly broke free from the nightmare!

Sitting up in bed, she found herself in an unfamiliar place!

Where was this?

Rubbing her head, her eyes burning, she felt like her body had been torn apart, making it hard for her to breathe.
