The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 386

Brittany had been holed up in the hospital for about a week, only getting discharged when she was back in shape.

Isaac couldn't be there because he was tied up with something.

Kari rushed over to help pack up, and that's when Joie showed up with a thermos in hand.

"Brittany, all set to leave?"

Something sparkled in Joie's eyes. Brittany's baby was much tougher than she thought.

Despite a car crash and an attack, the little one was still kicking!

Brittany nodded and Joie put down the thermos. Seeing Kari there too, she didn’t linger, shot the breeze for a bit, then took off.

As soon as Joie was out of sight, Kari couldn't sit still.

"Brittany, you know her?"

"She's sort of a friend. We go way back." Brittany replied casually, "She saved Grace's life once, so Grace is quite fond of her."

Kari frowned. She remembered seeing a picture of the girl. The last time Isaac got into a big kerfuffle, it was all because of her.

So, it was her... Kari breathed a sigh of relief. Good thing she didn't jump the gun, or it might have rocked the boat with Brittany’s marriage.

Kari helped Brittany with the discharge formalities while Brittany sat in the corridor, nursing a cup of water.

The place was packed, and Kari was stuck in line.

Brittany took a sip of water when she heard hurried footsteps behind her. It was Warren.

He seemed to be on a call.

Whatever the person on the other end said, it clearly irritated him. "Damn it, who the hell is Isaac? Can't find any trace of him at Grandeur Capital, and we still can't pin anything on him!"

After the lawsuit, Warren almost lost his job.

He harbored a deep resentment towards Brittany and Isaac but was powerless against them!

Warren hung up the phone and spotted Brittany sitting on a bench. His eyes flickered.

"Ms. Dustin, long time no see."

Brittany, facing Warren, stood up. "Warren, what did you mean by what you just said?"

What did he mean by "can't find any trace"?
