Brittany stopped resisting, letting Isaac take control.
Isaac was afraid of hurting her and also afraid of stirring up his own desire, so he backed off after just one kiss.
"Tomorrow, you need to get a checkup. I'll go with you."
"Okay."
...
Bright and early the next day.
Isaac got up early, prepared some sandwiches to take along, and then helped Brittany get dressed and took her out.
Nathan was waiting for them downstairs. He wanted to help Brittany when he saw them coming down the stairs, but he was scared off by Isaac's cold gaze.
So Nathan awkwardly retracted his hand.
Mr. Salter was being a bit dramatic.
Isaac was holding a thermos in one hand and holding Brittany's hand in the other. After getting in the car, he helped her fasten her seat belt, "You haven't had your checkup yet, so don't eat anything for now. I've prepared sandwiches for later."
As Nathan got into the car, he noticed some journalists lurking in the shadows.
"Mr. Salter, Mrs. Salter, there are reporters around."
Isaac frowned, "Take the back exit."
Nathan immediately turned the car around and left from the back gate.
There were also a lot of reporters at the back gate. They seemed to be waiting specifically for them.
Brittany saw those reporters and thought of what happened with Jason Field before, feeling a little uneasy,
"Let's move back to Radiant Residences tonight."
It was nice here, but security measures were lacking.
She couldn't bear the thought of what could happen if these people broke in.
Isaac didn't expect her to suggest moving back to Radiant Residences, so he immediately agreed.
"I'll have Joie move out."
So he could avoid a repeat of what happened before.
"No need." Brittany shook her head, "Grandma likes her. It's okay if she stays."
Joie had always been restless. It was better to have her in plain sight than lurking in the shadows.
