The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 471

Brittany was stuck like a fly in Isaac's web.

She was swiftly moved to a private hospital under The Salter Group's wing on the same day.

The security at the hospital was locked up tight. All of Isaac's men were standing guard at the entrance and around the building. She was watched like a hawk; not even a trip to the restroom granted her any privacy.

Hannah, upon hearing Brittany had been taken away, was livid. She wanted to confront Isaac but was stopped by Brittany, "Hannah, keep your nose out of this."

Hannah was at her wits' end, "Bri..."

"Hannah, the situation between Isaac and me is a can of worms we can't deal with for now."

"I need you to keep an eye on Bri-jeweled Studio. As for the Dustin Group, I'll pass it onto someone I trust," Brittany's voice was hoarse, "And don't spill the beans to Randell; don't drag your family into this."

Hannah knew Brittany was trying to spare them from getting dragged into the mess. It made her even more remorseful, "I'm so sorry. I screwed up."

Brittany wanted to reply, but the door to her room swung open.

It was Isaac.

"I gotta hang up now." Brittany ended the call and glared at Isaac, "What do you want?"

Ever since their relationship hit rock bottom, all harmony seemed to have evaporated between them. Brittany couldn't even bear to feign the sweetness she used to.

Isaac gestured for the doctor to step forward.

"Mrs. Salter, we need to run some tests on you. Please cooperate."

Brittany didn't put up a fight.

Her health was her top priority. She got that much.

Isaac moved over to the floor-to-ceiling window, glancing over his shoulder as the doctor began Brittany's check-up.

Brittany was getting impatient with the extensive array of tests, "Doc, I just had a miscarriage. Do we need all these tests?"

They had taken seven whole vials of blood for tests.

The list of tests was a mile long.

The doctor instinctively looked at Isaac, as if seeking his input on how to respond.

"Mrs. Salter, you're weak. Since you're already here, you might as well get a full checkup. Then we can be completely reassured."
