The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 716

William found himself in the midst of a crowd, being approached by countless individuals.

"Mr. Dillion, it's been a while."

"Mr. Dillion, you've been landing some big deals lately. Here's to your success," a man toasted with a glass of scotch.

William chuckled lightly, "Mr. Adams, isn't your project progressing quite well? I've looked into it, and it seems very promising. Hopefully, we can collaborate."

The man laughed heartily, "Working with Mr. Dillion would be a privilege indeed."

...

Brittany made her way to the bar, fetching a glass of champagne. She blended into the crowd, leisurely sipping her drink. The champagne was slightly tart, sliding down her throat with a faint sweetness. It was top-notch.

Her appearance attracted many pairs of eyes, including William's. After mingling with a few of the big shots, he approached Brittany. He paused, seeing her in a formal gown without a coat.

"It's getting cold. Why didn't you bring a jacket?"

It was late autumn, and the chill of Imperial City was becoming more evident.

"It's just a dinner party. I won't be staying long." Brittany smiled, "Weren't you chatting with them? Is it all right for you to come here?"

"No problem at all." William raised his glass.

With a crisp clink, their glasses collided. Brittany and William shared a smile, sipping their drinks simultaneously.

One guest asked, "Didn't Mr. Dillion and Brittany break up? How could they still stand together so harmoniously?"

"They broke up amicably. Brittany even gave all her shares to Dillion Group. With that alone, they wouldn't turn against each other. Plus, they've known each other for over a decade. A breakup isn't enough to sever their ties," another guest speculated.

Bitter feelings and rash actions aren't the style of business people.
