While a lot was happening with the Iverson family, Justin was shocked to find out that things were just as eventful on his side as Wyatt’s condition had just stabilized.
After sorting out his father-in-law’s matters, he began working on setting up a charity foundation for his mother. Although his mother had passed away many years ago, Justin wanted to go all out with the charity foundation as a display of filial piety.
“Mr. Salvador, the preparations for the charity gala are almost complete. There are some other details, like the selection of the venue and guest list, that need your approval,” Ian said as he handed Justin the documents he had prepared.
Justin took the documents and read them closely before casually asking, “Anything new going on with Gregory lately?”
“Nothing out of the ordinary, but there’s something suspicious.” Ian leaned forward, lowering his voice. “I checked Chairman Salvador’s overseas travel itinerary. He attended a business conference in France for a week. After the conference, he was supposed to return to Savrow, but instead, he made a detour to Meridan.”
Justin raised his eyebrow and asked, “Meridan?”
“Don’t forget who’s in Meridan.” Ian’s gaze became intense. “Chairman Salvador never goes anywhere without a motive. He wouldn’t just wander around for no reason. So the only possibility is that he went to meet with Mr. Grant!”
“Gregory hasn’t visited Meridan much these past few years, and when he does, it’s never been a big deal,” Justin replied, still focused on the documents in his hand, seemingly uninterested in the matter.
“In the past, perhaps not. But this time, it’s different. It happened right after you and the Young Madam won the lawsuit against Shannon, and after Old Master Nigel gave a lot of power to you! There’s a real issue here, Mr. Salvador!”
Ian was really eager to make a point as Justin’s closest aide. “Chairman Salvador is concerned that as your influence grows, you’ll become too powerful for him to handle. So he’s backing up Mr. Grant as a backup plan to challenge you!”
“So what? Should I buy a cruise missile and shoot down Gregory’s private plane from the sky?” Justin mocked.
Ian slowly said, “I mean, if you have to, it’s not entirely impossible.”
