The Great Medical Saint novel Chapter 155

Matthew's ice-cold gaze fell upon Rose as he slowly lifted the bone crusher.

He pressed the blade against her fair neck.

Blood dripped steadily from the knife.

The red droplets contrasted sharply against her white skin, and the scent of blood permeated the air.

Rose's eyelids twitched and fear flashed in her beautiful eyes, but she quickly composed herself.

She carefully scrutinized the man before her—a cold expression, sharp eyes, and a body that wasn't muscular but seemed to hold the ferocity of a wild beast.

It was as if she would become his prey at any given second.

Instinctively, she wanted to retreat but didn't dare move an inch. "Jeffrey was the one who wanted you dead, not me. There's no need to treat a woman like this, right?"

A cold smile swept across Matthew's lips. "Just now, you cooperated with Jeffrey to hold me back, no? I won't kill you, but I'll break your legs. We'll settle our dues that way."

Rose's face fell. Breaking her legs was as good as taking her life.

She quickly adopted a different demeanor and put on a smile.

"I was just kidding, don't take it seriously. I was only humoring Jeffrey. If you really wanted to leave, how could a little woman like me stop a strong man like you? I would have to obediently let you pass."

She spoke flirtatiously as she looked at Matthew with affectionate eyes.

Matthew remained expressionless. "Well, I hope you can obediently dodge the knife as well!"

As he spoke, he slowly raised the knife.
