"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" Alice's laughter peeled through the air, her head thrown back in utter delight. "Oh, Natalia, dear Natalia, I so regret not capturing that moment on camera. Just imagine the agony you would've felt seeing it!"
Hearing Alice's grating cackle, Magnus felt his anger boiling to the point of eruption. Yet, for Natalia's safety, he had to endure!
"Come here, Magnus. Kiss me," Alice teased with a crooked finger, her voice dripping with provocation. "Every day, I've watched Natalia blush and swoon under your passionate kisses. You must be quite the expert, huh? Now, please me, and maybe I'll consider making things a bit easier for dear Natalia."
Magnus clenched his fists. His face turned a shade of thunderous green, utterly disgusted by the shameless creature before him. But his anger didn't cloud his judgment, and he asked coolly, "You've seen us?"
"Don't believe me?" Alice hastily grabbed a rag and bent over, mimicking the diligent work of her alter ego 'Rebecca' the maid, then looked up at him with triumph in her eyes. "Tell me, Mr. Andersen, am I doing a satisfactory job in my role as your maid?"
It dawned on Magnus that the mute maid, whom Natalia had so kindly taken in, was none other than Alice herself. She had been scheming from the start, waiting for the perfect moment to get close to his wife. The treachery was beyond belief!
As Magnus remained silent, Alice's laughter grew louder and more obnoxious. "Oh, I am quite proud of myself, you know. That dimwit Natalia and her saintly ways, thinking the world is full of poor souls in need of saving. Ha! It's a wonder she's made it this far in life with such naivety."
Magnus glared at Alice with revulsion. "Don't be so smug. Your heart is too poisoned to understand my wife's goodness!"
"What was that? I'm poisoned?" Alice's eyes narrowed dangerously as she laughed hysterically. "Magnus, to be human is to be deceitful and cruel. It's only because men like you have been coddled Natalia that she can afford to play the saint, pretending to protect everyone, when she can't even protect herself. How utterly childish!"
"Enough! Do not insult my wife!" Magnus strode forward, towering over the repulsive figure sprawled on the sofa. "Where is she?" His commanding presence loomed over Alice.
Faced with his murderous glare, Alice lost her amusement and pointed to her lips commandingly. "Kiss me, please me, and I'll tell you where she is."
Magnus' brow furrowed deeply, using every ounce of strength to refrain from ending the life of the woman who was flaunting her power before him. Without a second thought, his hand swung out in a slap. "You disgust me!"
Alice hit the floor hard, slowly getting up with a bloody lip. "If you won't cooperate, don't blame me for being heartless!"
Magnus pointed at her fiercely. "Tell me where my wife is, or you won't live to see another day!"
"Ha! Impossible!" Alice's eyes gleamed maliciously.
Magnus grabbed the phone. "Send people to search for my wife immediately, and get someone to take care of the woman in the mansion!" His eyes were full of deadly intent as he stared at Alice like she was already a corpse.
Alice smirked, "You'll never find Natalia. No one knows where she is except for me. Ha! Ha! Ha!"
