Kent let out a silent sigh, not quite sure how to feel.
He was supposed to be an assistant, but here he was, fussing like a matchmaker.
Remembering Sophia's words from the night before, he didn't dare to meddle anymore.
Besides, Brandon seemed cool as a cucumber, and him stepping back might just be a blessing in disguise.
After putting down the design proposal, Brandon picked up another report and casually instructed Kent through the open door, "Keep an eye on the Zenithan-style resort project from now on."
"Huh?" Kent was caught off guard.
Although Daniel and Patricia were officially in charge of the project, Brandon had always been the one watching over it like a hawk, never delegating.
"The project has been submitted for approval and is expected to start soon. Wind Tourism will still be the face of it," Brandon explained without looking up, "Make sure the construction goes smoothly, no hiccups."
Wind Tourism was another company set up by Daniel and Patricia, and the Zenithan-style resort project was one of their ventures.
Brandon was also keen on temporarily using the new company's name to launch the resort as a fresh brand, hence Wind Tourism was fronting it, but the real power of decision lay with him.
Now that the design was finalized and all the paperwork sorted, it was just a matter of kicking off construction, so it made sense for Brandon to pass the baton to him at this stage.
Kent had thought that since it was Sophia's baby, Brandon would keep a tighter grip on it, but he guessed wrong.
"Problem?"
Not getting a response from Kent, Brandon glanced up with a cool look.
Kent immediately stood at attention and replied in a mild manner, "No, sir."
Adding quickly, "I'll keep a close watch, Mr. Crawley. You can count on me."
Brandon nodded, "Alright, get to it."
"Will do."
Kent replied and quickly ducked out of the office, carefully closing the door behind him, and couldn't help but let out another sigh and shake his head in resignation.
With the project in his hands, Kent knew better than to drag his feet. It might be just oversight, but he wasn't about to take it lightly. He immediately got in touch with Patricia to catch up on the project details.
Patricia and Daniel were also working full steam ahead. They'd started getting the approvals ready as soon as Sophia's initial design was greenlit. Now, with the blueprint locked in and the approvals sent off, even the groundbreaking date was picked.
When Kent called to check on the project status, Patricia was all enthusiasm and promptly sent all the relevant materials his way.
