After Ellinor finished speaking, she breezed past them and headed for the bathroom.
Marissa Blanchet looked worried. She tapped Veronica lightly. "Veronica, go with Ellinor. She's pregnant now, so if she needs a hand, make sure to help her out."
Veronica nodded and hurried after her.
The moment Ellinor stepped out of the bathroom, she saw Veronica with her arms folded, looking at her seriously.
She ignored her and went to wash her hands.
Veronica was miffed and asked, "Where have you been for the past six months?"
Ellinor squeezed some soap into her palm, lathered it up, and answered casually, "Why do you care about where I've been?"
Veronica frowned. "It is my business! You're my brother's wife; how can you just up and leave?"
Ellinor chuckled. "You've got it mixed up. I'm not. Didn't your brother's wife just come with you?"
Veronica was taken aback, and then it clicked. "You mean Sophia? She's not..."
"Veronica!"
A clear female voice interrupted Veronica.
It was Sophia, walking in with a smile.
