Ellinor was pregnant and close to popping, so her hormones were all over the place. Plus, seeing Theo made her feel uneasy, and Sophia kept yapping nonsense and blocking her way.
She couldn't stand it anymore, so she tried to push Sophia away.
But as soon as her hand touched Sophia's clothes, Sophia flew off like she had been hit by a truck, crashing into the restaurant counter. Blood trickled down her forehead, and she screamed in pain.
Ellinor frowned at Sophia's over-the-top performance. A few minutes ago, she thought Sophia was smarter than Patricia. Now, not so much.
She didn't even push that hard. Sophia just took a dive. Naturally, Ellinor didn't feel guilty at all. Nobody was stopping her, so she could just walk away.
But before she even took two steps away, a stern voice stopped her.
"Who said you could leave?"
After hearing Theo's voice, Ellinor stopped in her tracks and turned around. "Since when do I need permission to leave?"
Theo, stone-faced, walked over to Sophia, who was still on the ground, helped her up, and then glared at Ellinor.
"You did this to Sophia, and you're just gonna walk away?"
After being helped up, Sophia tried to play the martyr. "Don't mind me, Theo, I'm fine! You and Ms. Mendoza just had a reunion; don't let me ruin it..."
Theo snorted. "You're really thinking about her, huh? But what about her?"
Sophia shook her head, managing a weak smile. "Theo, I'm really okay!"
Ellinor retorted coolly. "Mr. Blanchet, she wouldn't let me leave. Was I not supposed to push her away?"
