Belinda grabbed a cucumber from the table and hurled it at him. "What do you mean we're messing around? Watch your mouth!"
Byran ducked the flying cucumber. "Okay! I misspoke. Are you and Chase together?"
Belinda's face darkened even more. "No!"
Byran furrowed his brows; he was genuinely confused. "Then why are you here helping with the cooking?"
Belinda scoffed. "My aunt is here! Is there a problem with me taking care of her?"
A light bulb went off in Byran's head. "Oh, so you're here for Ellinor! Speaking of, how are Ellinor and Theo? Why didn't she go back to the Blanchet Villa and instead came here?"
Mentioning Ellinor and Theo gave Belinda a headache.
"Their meeting went south. Some conflict happened, and they went their separate ways, so Ellinor came here."
Byran was also concerned about Ellinor. "Didn't Theo follow her? He's been searching for her everywhere; he should have come!"
Belinda shrugged helplessly. "I have no idea what happened, but Theo didn't come. I'm here to watch over Ellinor for him."
Byran thought for a moment and moved closer to Belinda, intending to ask more questions, but was abruptly pulled away by the neck by someone from behind.
Chase, with a smirk but a stern tone, said, "Talk all you want, but keep your distance! Don't you know the rules between men and women?"
This made Byran laugh uncontrollably. "You're lecturing me on keeping distance? You're the one who's always crossing the line!"
Once he said this, Belinda glanced at Chase and then turned her face away.
