Marissa nodded. "As long as she’s alright. Ellinor is pregnant now, and it makes me so nervous. I'm afraid any stress might cause her to give birth prematurely. You know, having a baby is like walking through a valley of death... Oh, and don't tell your grandpa about what happened today. I don't want him to get any weird ideas about Ellinor."
"I got it." Veronica responded.
...
In a hotel room.
Sophia danced alone in her room to the elegant music.
Her attendant, Kevin, walked in with a bottle of wine. After seeing her passionately dance, he curiously asked. "What's got you so excited?"
Sophia slowed down her movements and chuckled. "Do I look that happy?"
Kevin nodded as he uncorked the wine. "Definitely! You seem to be in a great mood today. What happened?"
Sophia stopped dancing. "Today, that woman, Ellinor, finally showed up!"
Kevin paused in surprise as he poured the wine. "Wait, isn't Ellinor your rival? Why are you so thrilled to see her?"
Sophia smirked. "If she hadn't shown up, she would have always been the one that Theo couldn't let go of, and I could never replace her. Now that she's here, her flaws will be exposed, and Theo will grow tired of her. I can feel it. Theo is starting to resent her already!"
Kevin looked confused but passed the glass of wine to Sophia. "So you're saying that you're close to winning Mr. Blanchet's heart?"
Sophia took a sip of the wine. "No, it's not that easy! To win Theo's heart, there's still a long road ahead. Right now, he only sees me as a friend. It's only when he's completely fed up with Ellinor that he can make room for me in his heart. But it's okay; I'm not in a hurry; I can wait."
Kevin felt a pang of sympathy for his master. "You've been pining for Mr. Blanchet for so many years. If you had confessed your feelings earlier, Ellinor wouldn't have stood a chance! When he needed a woman to fake marry to appease his family, Mr. Blanchet came to you first."
