The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1323

Even though that guy really kicked the bucket, what did it have to do with her?

She was done with him.

She tossed the leaflet, didn't linger, and quickly turned to head back into her house.

The two servants saw her hurrying and couldn't help but worry. They immediately started calling after her.

"Ms. Mendoza, slow down! Watch your step; don't fall..."

"Ms. Mendoza..."

Ellinor, huffing and puffing, rushed into the living room, where Balfour was on the couch, checking Byran's homework.

She strode over to him and asked straight out, "Is Theo's death for real?"

Upon hearing Ellinor's words, Balfour looked up. His face froze, and he asked with furrowed brows. "Who told you?"

After seeing Balfour's reaction and connecting it to recent strange happenings, including Sophia's afternoon visit, she was sure the news on the leaflet was true.

Her eyes turned bloodshot as she demanded, "Why didn't you tell me?!"

Balfour, looking gloomy, stood up and slowly approached Ellinor. "Ellinor, I didn't mean to hide it from you. I just worried it would upset you."

Not wanting to hear him out, Ellinor shoved Balfour away. "Back off! I need some air!"

With that, she turned to leave.

Balfour reached out and grabbed Ellinor's wrist. "Ellinor, what's done is done. You going out won't change anything. Cool down, didn't you say you wanted nothing to do with Theo?"

Ellinor's mind was a whirl. Her chest ached as if she were being cut with a blunt knife. "But I never thought he'd die!"
