The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1337

Ida and Byran joined in to get a closer look.

Balfour dusted off his hands, stood up, gathered his crew, and instructed them to follow the tire tracks.

Then, they each got in their cars and followed the tracks.

Out in the suburbs, at the abandoned factory, the ground was muddy, so any car would leave clear tracks, but when they hit the asphalt road leading to the county town, the tracks disappeared.

They had to stop and rely on the traffic network to check road surveillance and then began filtering out suspicious vehicles.

Since there weren’t many cars entering the county from the suburbs at night, they quickly zeroed in on a suspicious van and hit the road again.

Following the route caught on surveillance, they soon found a bungalow in a narrow alley.

A locked iron gate stood in front of the bungalow. They could hear men's voices and smell the barbecue from within.

Balfour, Chase, Ida, and Byran got out of the car and walked into the narrow alley.

They didn't drive over on purpose, so as not to tip off anyone inside with the sound of the engine.

They hid and observed from a concealed spot. All the houses around were dark and quiet. Only one yard was lit, with rowdy sounds coming from inside.

Byran frowned and whispered anxiously, "Balfour, do you think Ellinor went to the ruins looking for Theo and got taken here? There are so many men inside, you don’t think they've..."

Balfour’s face darkened, and he clenched his fists. "Shut up! Keep it down!"

Byran lowered his head. He knew he should be quiet, but he was very worried about Ellinor. The thought of her being taken by those men made him want to charge in right away.
