The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1357

Bartlett paused for a moment as his lips curled up slightly with a hint of mockery. "So, as her brother, you're gonna just forget the family feud and let her marry into the enemy family?"

Balfour, looking serious, said, "It wasn't easy finding Ellinor; I don't want her to feel upset. I'll do my best to give her whatever she wants, even if it's marrying into the Blanchet family. If Theo dares to mess with her again, he'll pay!"

Bartlett stared at Balfour for a moment, then made a scared face. "Having a brother like you is terrifying."

Balfour shrugged it off. "If you're afraid of me, you can stay away."

Bartlett laughed. "Balfour, as a friend, have you ever considered me as your brother-in-law? I’d treat Ellinor way better than Theo."

Balfour said straightforwardly, "She doesn't like you."

The smile on Bartlett's face stiffened for a moment, and then he shrugged. "Just because she doesn't like me now doesn't mean she won't in the future, right?"

Balfour squinted. "My sister, like me, will never change her mind about someone she didn't like in the first place."

Bartlett found his response boring and waved his hand. "You're so dull! Who could you possibly like? I've never seen you like anyone for as long as I’ve known you. Ellinor's not as cold-hearted as you!"

Balfour fell silent.

Bartlett put down his coffee and stood up. "I won't bother you anymore; I’m gonna go try my luck with Ellinor."

Although Balfour was unhappy, he didn't stop him and let him go. Winning Ellinor's heart wasn't that easy.

Ellinor was eating a skewer when Bartlett suddenly came over and took the empty seat next to her, saying, "Ellinor, you seem to be enjoying that. Can I try a piece?"
