The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1849

At the hospital.

While Ellinor was chatting with her mother, Theo was seated quietly by their side, peeling apples for the two women.

Ellinor warned him not to strain his arm, but he just brushed it off, claiming he was fine.

Since his arm was injured, he didn't return to the office in the afternoon. He left the work to his subordinates.

Before they knew it, evening had arrived. Just as Ellinor was pondering what takeout to order for dinner with her mother, there was a knock on the door of the hospital room.

Theo got up to answer the door, and upon opening it, he came face-to-face with Thaddeus, and his expression instantly cooled.

Thaddeus didn't look too pleased either. His gaze scanned Theo from top to bottom, and he finally rested on his legs.

He snorted. "So, your leg is healed. You sure played that up!"

Theo squinted his eyes. "Why bother being genuine with you guys?"

Just as Thaddeus was about to retort, Bertha quickly tugged on her husband's arm and said, "Mr. Blanchet, we came to apologize to you and Ellinor."

Apologize?

Theo scoffed. He didn’t believe that Thaddeus had such intentions.

In the end, he just nodded at Bertha and returned to Ellinor's side.
