The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 1964

Ivy really didn't want to cause a scene outside the Harris Group building, but Clara left her no choice. She pushed Clara down to the ground and pressed on her body. "Clara, did you really think I'd keep playing nice like I used to? I'm warning you, stay out of my way!"

A security guard hurried over to break them up, and Ivy, not wanting to be a bother, let go of Clara and stood up, dusting off her clothes.

Clara cared most about her looks, spending tons of time and money on them. Now, her first demand, once freed from Ivy's grip, was for a mirror.

"I need a mirror, a mirror!"

Without one handy, Clara scrambled to the reflective glass of the office's front door. She shrieked at the sight of three red marks across her cheek. "Ah! My face! My face! Ivy, you wretch, I won't let you off for this!"

Ivy started towards her again.

Clara, knowing she was no match, backed away, fear creeping into her voice, "Ivy, what are you going to do?"

"Nothing." Ivy's face was expressionless as she pulled out her phone. "Ever since you set me up that time, I started recording our conversations. So, when you went into the interview room earlier, I recorded everything."

Clara's face twisted with rage at the sight of Ivy's phone. "Ivy, what the hell do you want?"

"I scratched your face today because you pushed me to it, and take it as a lesson. You'll just have to deal with it and keep quiet. Otherwise, I'll sue you for slander! Everyone heard you accusing me of being a mistress without proof. You'll lose in court! And when you do, I'll make sure everyone in the show biz knows about it."

Clara's eyes widened in shock. She had confidently accused Ivy of being a mistress in front of the interviewers, yet she had no evidence. If Ivy really did sue, Clara was sure to lose.
