The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 255

They are time and one's heart. If someone's heart is no longer with you, no matter what you do to please them, their heart will never return to you. So, why waste a ton of energy on a lost cause? You should focus more on your career, better yourself, and take control."

Belinda paused, looking at Ellinor as if she was looking at an idol, "Ellinor, you're so right! I need to learn from you. From now on, I won't obsess over men and will fully devote myself to my career!"

Ellinor worried that she might misunderstand, patiently explained, "This doesn't mean love is bad. Love can enrich our emotional lives, and that's a wonderful thing. But you can't just hand over your heart, and you definitely can't hand over your future to a man, compromising yourself just to please him; you get me?"

Belinda nodded, signaling her understanding, "Yep, I got it! Thanks."

Even though Ellinor wasn't sure if Belinda understood, she had said all she could and sipped her coffee.

She had never been in a relationship; all the advice she gave was based on her gut feeling.

She hoped that Belinda could take something away from all this, not be fooled by some sweet-talking men.

Just then, Ellinor's phone rang.

She glanced at the screen; it was a call from Theo's new number.

He had given her his old phone and number and got himself a new one.

She answered the call and Theo's deep voice came through the phone, "Where are you?"

Ellinor replied: "Theo, I'm at the city center mall."

"With whom?"

"Belinda."

Theo said, "Tell me where you are exactly; I'll send someone to pick you up."

Ellinor blinked, "Theo, you're back?"

"Yeah, just landed."

"Theo, you don't have to send someone. Belinda drove us here; she'll take me home."

Theo was silent for two seconds, then responded, "Then, come to Pearl Moon after you're done shopping; I need to talk to you."

Pearl Moon? Was Theo throwing her a birthday party? The thought of meeting his friends and family made Ellinor frown, "Can I not go..."

"No!" Theo instantly interrupted her as if guessing her thoughts, "You have to come; I want to see you."
