Facing away from Madeline, he naturally couldn't see the smug smile that appeared on her face.
It seemed like Domingo had chosen his help more carefully this time, managing to whisk the person away so swiftly and efficiently.
However, her words still conveyed concern for Regina. "Did you call the cops?"
Francis, still irritable, waved her off. "Enough, let's head back. Standing here isn't going to bring Regina back. Nolan's already sent people to look for her. I don't know if he's called the police or not. What if reporting it puts Regina in even more danger?"
Madeline nodded in agreement. "You're right, Dad. Let's go back. Mom must be worried sick at home."
Mentioning Imogen reminded Francis that she was pregnant. He was eager to leave; his daughter had been taken, and who knew if they were targeting the Tanner family?
"Alright, no need for you to worry about this anymore. Let's head home."
As soon as they drove back, they saw Imogen, with her slightly protruding belly, anxiously looking out. Seeing them return, she rushed over.
"Are you all okay?"
She glanced behind Madeline. "Where's Regina? Did something really happen to her?"
Francis nodded gravely. "You and Madeline stay inside, don't go out. We might be targeted. We still have no news about Regina. No one has approached us yet, so I'm not sure what's happening."
He frowned deeply.
