"Mr. Blanchet."
Quinton stepped forward and bowed. "Mr. Balfour asked me to return your car and extend his thanks. He's grateful for your kindness in lending him your car yesterday. Without your help, he and Ms. Howard might've been stuck at Donebridge for more than two hours."
"He wants to thank me? Why doesn't he come himself?" Theo looked indifferent.
Having been in the business world with Balfour for many years, Quinton was quite good at dealing with people, but he still felt some pressure when facing a dominant figure like Theo.
"I’m sorry, Mr. Balfour is on a business trip today. Otherwise, he would've definitely come in person to express his gratitude."
As Theo was cutting the bacon on his plate with a knife and folk, he ate as if no one else was there.
Quinton's polite talk might work on others, but not on Theo.
It was clear whether Balfour was sincere or not. Getting no response, Quinton turned to Byran, looking a bit awkward. "Byran, you should explain everything to Mr. Blanchet. Apologize properly and admit your mistake."
"Oh..." Byran, usually full of vitality, was looking downcast today. He approached Theo, his head bowed even lower, too embarrassed to look up.
"Theo, I'm sorry, it was me..." At this point, Byran felt so wronged that he thought he might vomit blood!
But thinking that he was doing this for Patricia, he gritted his teeth, holding back tears to continue...
"It was me! The online attacks against Ellinor, I did it to get back at Haillie! I stole the original video from a female influencer's phone at Balfour's place, edited it out of context and posted it online, twisting the truth and making Ellinor look bad on the internet... It was all me!”
