The next day at 3 p.m., Ellinor rolled up to the agreed-upon café.
It was a humble yet classy joint, eerily quiet on the inside.
Just a couple seemingly on a date and a bespectacled guy hustling away were the only other patrons in sight.
Ellinor picked a random spot, ordered herself a cup of coffee and a dessert, and started people-watching as she enjoyed her treats.
The pair appeared to be having a date, asking each other about their preferences, nothing suspicious about them.
The bespectacled guy was also constantly hammering away at his laptop, completely engrossed in his work.
She wondered, who could have sent her the text? Or, had the person not arrived yet?
"Ellinor!"
At the sound of a familiar voice, Ellinor looked up, "Mr. Morgan?"
It was her boss from her internship, Morgan.
Morgan seemed to have packed on a few extra pounds, he had a wide grin on his face, "Ellinor, it's been ages."
Even though Ellinor hadn't quit that long ago.
Could Morgan be the one who texted her?
