Veronica pondered for a moment, then said, "Ellinor, it's your graduation day. Aren't we gonna celebrate?"
Ellinor yawned, "Nah, I don't see what's there to celebrate."
Veronica, however, got close to her, enthusiastically hooking her arm around Ellinor's, "Ellinor, surviving college isn't a piece of cake. Let's go celebrate! I know a mall that just got a whole bunch of limited edition stuff. Wanna come with me?"
Ellinor glanced at Veronica's hand on her arm, raised an eyebrow curiously, "So you want me to go shopping with you now?"
Veronica nodded eagerly, "Yes! We've got nothing better to do since we came home so early! Come on, Ellinor, let's go!"
This friendliness was rare. If she could get along with the Blanchet family, it would save her a lot of trouble.
With that in mind, Ellinor smiled faintly, "Alright, let's hit the mall."
Veronica broke into a wide grin, then turned to Theo, "Theo, we girls are going shopping. You might wanna sit this one out."
Theo was engrossed in some document, he replied coldly, "I don't have the time."
Veronica was secretly thrilled, "Great! Theo, just have the driver drop me and Ellinor at the mall!"
After the girls got out of the car, Theo rolled down the window, glanced at Ellinor, and said calmly, "Don't stay out too late. Get back home early."
Ellinor nodded.
At the mall.
They hadn't been to many shops when Veronica suddenly clutched her stomach, wincing in pain, "Ellinor, my stomach hurts. I need to use the restroom!"
Ellinor looked around for a restroom, but saw a "Under Maintenance" sign on the nearest one. She frowned, "This floor's restroom is out of order, let's go upstairs. Hurry!"
