All Gemma could do was marvel at Ellinor's optimism, while she herself had already lost hope. The project proposal they had prepared for a month was now useless, and although she was extremely disappointed, there was no other solution!
She sighed, then turned and headed for the break room.
"Ellinor, you're busy. I'll go make you some coffee to perk you up!"
"Uh, thanks!"
Ellinor responded in a low voice, while a red progress bar appeared on the black screen of her computer. When the bar was full, Ellinor quickly cracked the password. She clicked a hidden chat box, typed a few words and sent them.
[What's the beef?]
The hacker was shocked and replied: "Who are you? You actually breached the final level encryption system of AJ Alliance!"
Ellinor's fingers danced on the keyboard: [Who I am is not important. The point is, why are you attacking Nexus Industries? Every debt has its debtor. If someone pissed you off, go settle the score with them, don't ruin the fruits of many innocent people's labor!]
The hacker, not willing to admit defeat, immediately counterattacked. But he was successfully intercepted by the defense system that had already been set up. He couldn't help but feel a little admiration for this mysterious opponent who was technically superior to him.
...
When Gemma returned with the coffee, Ellinor's computer had been repaired, and all the files had been restored to their original state.
"It's really fixed! Ellinor, you're amazing! How did you do it?"
Ellinor removed a USB stick, spun it on her index finger, leaned back in her chair, and smiled, "I got this antivirus software off eBay that claims to be bulletproof, turns out it wasn't lying! Gonna leave a positive review later!"
Gemma frowned in disbelief, "What! Really? The IT department said no antivirus software would work, looks like they're the ones who are useless!"
Ellinor took the coffee from Gemma, gestured with her chin and said, "Alright, go get your PPT copied out to show Joseph and the others!"
"Oh, right! I'm on it! Ellinor, I love you!" Gemma blew Ellinor a big kiss, then immediately rushed off to get her work done.
Co-workers suddenly swarmed around, asking Ellinor for the link to the antivirus software. Ellinor dealt with them leisurely, "I'll send it to the group chat later!"
She took a sip of coffee from the cup, her eyelashes slightly lifted, glancing towards Joseph's office...
That weird guy probably hadn't finished his coffee yet, right?
...
In the office.
After bringing Theo his coffee, Debby kept switching her sexy pose, trying to catch his attention. But no matter what, the man didn't give her any attention.
Gemma knocked on the door gently, "Mr. Joseph, the PPT is ready. The scheduled meeting can proceed now."
Joseph, who was enjoying his coffee with Theo, brightened up, "The computer is fixed?"
Gemma nodded confidently, "Yes, Joseph. Ellinor fixed the computer."
"Oh, she's kinda talented."
Joseph finally relaxed. He stood up, and made a polite gesture, "Mr. Blanchet, our meeting materials are ready. We can head to the conference room. The head of our new project will be there to give you a detailed introduction."
Theo put down his coffee cup elegantly and stood up. His every move was filled with the charm of a mature man.
Debby was gnashing her teeth. Ellinor actually fixed the computer!
...
Fifteen minutes later, Theo came out of the meeting room with a poker face.
