The Kiss that Sparked it All novel Chapter 97

So, was she joking around?

...

Ellinor's expression was casual as her playing shifted from a random pluck to a rhythmic strum. The song she was playing was exactly the one from the guitar sheet music Yvette had initially given her.

Downstage, the faces of the students turned from dissatisfaction to confusion, then admiration and intoxication.

Yvette and her friends were stunned..

They didn't expect Ellinor to actually play the song!

As the situation took an unexpected turn, it was crucial not to panic. Yvette's friends started to nudge her.

"Yvette, don't be fooled! You sing too!"

"Yeah, Yvette, drown out Ellinor with your voice!"

"Yvette, don't forget to dance!"

With the prodding of her friends, Yvette came back to her senses. Once she caught the rhythm, she started singing her own lyrics, twirling and dancing.

She sang her heart out, trying to pull the student’s attention onto herself, outshining Ellinor!

In fact, she succeeded. Some of the students did turn their attention to her.

So, Yvette danced with even more vigour!

But who would have thought, the rhythm of Ellinor's playing accelerated. Her fingerwork was so fluent and it didn't look like she was a first-timer!

The song got faster and faster, but it never went off-key or missed a beat. This was definitely a mark of high skill level.

Yvette's singing and dancing obviously couldn't keep up with the rhythm anymore. But she wouldn't give up, she sang and danced faster.

However, the faster she sang, the less stable her breath became. She didn't even have time to catch her breath, let alone dance. She got dizzy and fell uncontrollably onto the stage, and looked embarrassed!!!

There was an uproar downstairs.

Yvette fell!
