Charlie took the name card and glanced at it casually. He noticed there was only a name and a string of numbers on the card.
Kylie's name was printed on it with a domestic phone number starting with 159. There was still a faint smell of ink from the name card. It seemed as if it was printed not long ago.
Charlie didn’t think much about it. He took out his phone, snapped a photo of the name card, and then handed it back to Jacob.
He planned to contact Kylie tomorrow, have a quick look at her villa's Feng Shui, and get it over with.
On the next day, Jacob reminded Charlie again during breakfast. "Hey, Charlie. Remember to give Ms. Jane a call."
Charlie nodded. "I’ll send Claire to the office first and contact Ms. Jane later."
Jacob quickly said, "You can skip that. I'll drive Claire t o the office. Anyway, I need to go to the association earlier today, so Claire can leave her car with you. If M s. Jane is in a hurry, you can drive and meet her immediately.”
Claire agreed with anod. "Husband, Ms. Jane has spent so much on Dad's Calligraphy and Painting Association. She's an important patron. Please treat
this with importance."
Then, Claire added, "If it isn't a lot of work, maybe you shouldn't charge her any service fee."
At that, Elaine blurted out without thinking, "Claire! What nonsense are you spouting? We have to account for the money carefully among siblings, let alone a stranger!"
Elaine quickly turned to Charlie. "Charlie, don't listen t o Claire. You should charge appropriately. We must not be silly just to defend our pride!"
Charlie looked at Claire with a smile and reassured her, "Wife, don't be worried. I know what to do."
But Elaine pressed determinedly, "Charlie, don't be silly, alright? We can ignore anything but money!
