The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 95

Watching as Olivia walks out of sight, Alexandra breathes in the warm breeze engulfing her body and she imagines her mother standing next to her holding her arm. If she was around maybe she wouldn't feel so empty and out of place all the time. She would have brought flowers to celebrate her triumphant victory over Adam and thrown her a party. It was what families do for each other but this was not her family.

At least she was already aware of their vicious mind trying to hurt and she would only be a fool if she tried to pretend as if they were her family.

"If I had my way, I wouldn't hesitate to do away with you and your mother's clan. You, people, shouldn't breathe the same air that we do. The fact that you are an Alpha is what has destroyed this entire pack and the Guerrero clan will only continue to suffer if they choose to keep you as an Alpha"

By this time, Nathaniel walks in with Olivia trailing behind her, her eyes filled with emotions but Nathaniel didn't notice since he didn't bother looking at her face. The only person he loves to stare at was Alexandra and nothing could make him get tired of it for she was his true mate.

Locking eyes with Alexandra as he enters, he goes to stand behind her, his hand itches to hold her but Nathaniel restrains himself, he already knows the type of person Alexandra was, and if anything she wouldn't want him thinking she was weak, and couldn't defend herself against her two-faced manipulative, wicked family.

"I detest you and everything about your mother and her clan, the mere sight of you disgusts me so don't ever think that I've considered you my daughter because I haven't and can neither do"

Alexandra blinks her eyes, it wasn't a surprise to her but hearing him say it in the presence of Nathaniel was hurting and she couldn't help but feel a slight sting in her heart but she rapidly blinks her eyes. The last thing she wanted was to cry in front of them, it would make her feel as though their words had the power to cripple but they didn't and they were not worth her tears.

"I hate you with every fiber of my bean and I would never let you destroy this pack, I will never let you have your way. This ends here"

Nathaniel buries his hands into his pocket trying to hide the emotions running in through his eyes but couldn't. He couldn't stand the fact that Bernard was abusing Alexandra by saying hurtful words to her. He molds his fist, clenching his jaw tightly, imagining jumping right at him and landing a hard punch at him, it will surely knock him unconscious, putting a glee on his face but Alexandra wouldn't want that. Not because Bernard deserves to still be on his feet opening his air hole but this was Alexandra's fight and she already had a plan which he doesn't want to mess up.

Distressed that he couldn't do anything but stare at them, Nathaniel inhales deeply and exhales, his peripheral vision catches a glimpse of Olivia gawking at him and he hastily gazes at her sternly, his eyes unblinking causing her to drop her gaze ashamed of being caught by the man who doesn't even remember her name once he leaves the Guerrero house let alone look at him even if she was the last woman in the world.

"This ends here" Alexandra chuckles.

His words had a lot of power but Bernard didn't know, he knew his limit yet he stepped over challenging her and now he was questioning her right to lead as if he was any better.

"What ends here for you Bernard?"

"You, your mother, and her miserable clan"

"Is always about my mother, myself, and her clan but guess what"

"What is it?"

"You end here as well"

"What are you talking about?"

"You think I don't deserve to lead the pack, you think I am incapable but do you know something? you cannot decide what happens or what does not anymore. If anything you are just a common werewolf like everyone else in the pack who is under me"

"I will never be under you, not now nor ever. I will never be under someone from a wretched bloodline. I would rather be dead than be subjected under you"

"Then die, those who try to revolt against the Alpha will be punished by death, isn't that the code?"

"Reading a few lines still doesn't cut you out for that position"

Alexandra chuckles, Bernard may not have known but she wasn't seeking his approval, he meant nothing and without blinking an eye, Alexandra won't hesitate to end him. "You talk as though I need your approval, I don't need you, Bernard. If anything getting this position has made me realize that you are one of those things I need to discard else it will keep pulling me down"

Olivia observes her, she could tell Alexandra was plotting something up her sleeve but she still couldn't make out what.

"Pulling you down?" Bernard giggles. "Are you out of your mind? What are you rambling about?"

"The three of you are like leeches and you know what to do to people"

"And so? Are you going to take the easy way out as your mother did?" He smiles. "You should have seen the look on her face when she took her life, it was priceless, wish I had taken a headshot"

The words echo in Alexandra's ear causing her blood to rush up, her anger burst and she grabs hold of a mug on the table and throws it against Bernard but he dodges it, smirking certain he had hit the perfect nerve but little did he know that he made the wrong move, pushing Alexandra to her very limit.

"You missed" He widens his smirk

"Did I?" She tilts her head, a sinister smile plastered on her face casting a curious look on their face. Nathaniel comports himself, following Bernard with the trail of his eyes, his face blank and emotionless.

"See I was thinking I could keep up with this but I can't"

"Keep up with what?" Bernard asks with curiosity all over his face.

"You" she smiles but it didn't reach her eyes "Veronica and your pathetic daughter, Olivia"

"Alexandra!" Olivia states

Alexandra states quickly. "Shut your mouth. This is an Alpha to the Alpha discussion, what contribution can a weak beta like you make?"

Olivia goes silent, she knew better not to provoke her any further since she already knows Alexandra was up to no good.

"Now you know your place, you might as well bring me some water," Alexandra says, dropping her gaze on Olivia and averting her eyes back to Bernard.
