Father was laid to rest and the whole pack has turned upside down the moment the news got out that he was murdered by my mate.

"You need to rest Xavier your father has been laid to rest, it is high time you take it easy on yourself " Lina said as she gives me a body massage.

"It hurts way too much Lina I trusted her, she was going to rule the pack by my side as the Luna " I said in anger.

"It is not your fault that she turned out to be an ungrateful bitch I can't bare to see you this broken" she said and I sighed in pain.

"Alpha we have a problem" Jayden said barging into my hambers without knocking on the door.

"What happened to knocking Jayden! " I growled.

"I am so sorry for the intrusion Alpha but we have a problem" he said and I raised my eyebrows.

"What is it ?" I asked and he rubbed his face in frustration.

"The Luna ....I mean Emerald has escaped from the outhouse with the child" he said and I stood up immediately.

"WHAT !" I bursted angrily.

"I have no idea how it happened she was in the outhouse even up until yesterday " he said and rubbed my forehead in frustration I could feel anger boiling in the pit of my stomach .

"I want you to find that woman before I loose my mind" I spat angrily as my head banged with headache immediately .

''How could you all ignore the fact that she is a murderer !" I said and Lina rubbed my hand gently.

"Calm down baby, Calm down, I'm sure ..." She trailed and shut up immediately her eyes met with my glaring eyes .

"I don't need to hear anything from you right now " I said and walked out of my Chambers.

"Where are you going to ?" she asked in surprise.

"To join the soldiers I am going to find Emerald myself" I said and stormed out of the room angrily.

I joined my soldiers to check every nook and cranny of the pack but it felt like she was fooling me all over again.

"You should rest now Alpha I don't think she is still in the pack" Jayden said worriedly.

"She is still in this pack Jayden I can feel it" I said and looked away. It was getting dark already and the fact that we did not even lead on her was getting on my nerves.

"Get the soldiers ready we will keep watch at the boarders she have not left the pack yet

" I said and walked away angrily .

That night as I packed up to leave for the boarder with my men Lina walked into my chambers.

" What is it Lina ?" I asked without turning over to her direction .

"Are you really joining the search team tonight ? Xavier you need to rest Emerald can leave the pack for all we care" she said raising her voice in frustration.

"I am the Alpha Lina and I know what to do I would appreciate it if you stop interfering in my business" I said and she gasped immediately. As I walked out of the pack house I was certain that Emerald had not left the pack and would plan on leaving at night .

I held my baby in my arms and covered him with a cloth to keep him away from the coldness of the night I am doing this for us for a better future, I said.

"Father" I said immediately he joined me in our hiding place.
