The Soldier's Unsurpassable Honor novel Chapter 1467

Titus, as he was next to them, had a frown on his face as he commented, "I'm afraid that it's not so simple."

Fane's expression fell the moment he opened the invitation and read its contents before turning to everyone else present. ' This ninth wife is Lily Lagorio!" he told them.

"Lily Lagorio?" The smile on both the First Elder and the other elder's faces dropped instantly when the news was revealed, petrified as though they had seen a ghost

They finally understood why Nash would have such a solemn expression on his face. Lily used to be his wife, the First Madam of the Woods family.

Although Lily committed quite the offense that caused Nash to lose his honor when she colluded with the Third Elder in a rebellion, she and Nash were once wedded to one another.

Were they purposely making it difficult for Nash in asking him to present himself during Lily's wedding? How would others look at Nash? What would they say in private?

"This is too overboard. I'd understand it if they invited other families. Pavilion Master Collins should know that our master is Lily’s ex-husband, and he has to be detestable for inviting our Woods family!" seethed First Elder as he balled his hands into fists. "Master, why don't we attend the wedding and you sit this one out?"

No one expected that Nash would shake his head instead with a bitter smile on his face. “That won't do. I might be able to get away not attending this wedding had it been some random people from a second-class aristocratic family or some other families. As the master of the Woods family, if I don’t attend the wedding of the Skies Pavilion's pavilion master and send my subordinates, I fear rumors of me not honoring him would float around, thus 1 must attend this."

"Sigh! How embarrassing would it be if you go!" Another elder sighed. If anybody else was placed in such a situation, they would feel uncomfortable to attend such a wedding.

After all, Nash and Lily used to be very in love in the past, but she became vicious and sinister after what happened to Lance.

Of course, Lily was also very sinister before Fane became a soldier, but she hid it well. "Let it be if this wedding becomes embarrassing. After all, I have no relationship with her right now. I'll think of this as attending a stranger's wedding," decided Nash, that bitter smile still on his face. "The thing I worry the most is why Lily would suddenly marry the old man, Joel. After all, he’s the pavilion master of the Skies Pavilion, and it unsettles me when I thought she might use them to act out against our Woods family. After all, she wants to kill every person in our family so badly!”

Fane had such a thought from the start as well, and his expression hardened. "It's incredibly likely, it seems. We’ve received lots of benefits this time and our family is much stronger compared to the past.

However, it's difficult for the Lagorio family to take actions against us because of this. Hence, Lily must've thought of a way to fight back against the Woods family by gaining the support of the ancient clans."

Titus inwardly held his breath when he heard those words before he quickly beseeched, "Master, you shouldn't go if that's truly the case! Why do I feel that this is a treacherous banquet? It'd be troublesome if you attend but fail to come back!"

"It won't work if the master refuses to attend—it might even anger them. Then again, it'll be extremely dangerous if the master truly attended the dinner. Urgh!" First Elder frowned as he realized how troublesome it was.

In the end, he stomped his feet and growled, "This Lily Lagorio truly is a vicious woman to use such means!"
