" How is the training going? " Alpha Xander asked, his hand placed on the armrest of the chair, with the Crystal pack crown sitting on his head.

" Good so far. We've trained a total number of fifty warriors" Gamma Roland replied and Xander nod his head.

" Where's the beta?" Xander asked and massaged his forehead with his fingers.

" He left a while ago! He said he wasn't feeling well" Roland replied.

" Okay," Xander said and dismissed him.

A sigh escaped his lips, he climbed down from the alpha chair and paced to and fro in the throne hall. His hands folded behind him and his eyes shut. He couldn't help but think about how distant his wife has been from him for the past few months.

His wife Mariam was giving him attitude from one side and on the other side, his mother was sick. He wondered what he had done wrong to deserve this treatment Mariam was giving him.

How could she say, she's not in the mood every night? He doesn't even remember how it felt like to be intimate anymore.

" I will just go talk to her. Maybe there's something I'm doing wrong" He said to himself and started walking out of the throne hall.

" Greetings alpha" The servants bowed their heads in respect while he walked past.

" You know what? I've been sleeping soundly for the past few weeks" Mariam said and caressed his jaw with her long fingers.

" Same here. I've been sleeping well for the past few weeks and I felt like I'm on top of the world" He replied and Mariam chuckled at him.

" I find him annoying. He kept pestering me every night for it and I really can't stand it. What should I do? " Mariam asked, her head placed on his thighs with her eyes closed.

" He wants to do it with you? Such a pervert" He chuckled and stroked her hair with his finger.

" Did he touch you? " He asked

" You know I wouldn't let him kiss my finger" Mariam rolled her eyes and let the words out.

" It's a good thing that you didn't let him touch you. He doesn't deserve a good woman with a good honey pot like you" He bent down and planted a kiss on her nose and her cheeks turned red.

" Are we going to continue like this? " Mariam asked and sat up.

" What do you mean by that?" He asked

" I mean, are we going to keep this a secret forever? I want to walk around the pack holding hands with you and having you anytime and anywhere I want" Mariam told him and he wrapped his hand around her back before pulling her closer.

" I also want to hold hands with you. You know I want the same thing and I love you so much so I will do anything I can to make that dream of yours come true" He told her and leaned closer for a kiss.

" What's wrong?" He asked when he noticed the way she withdrew back.
