Captive Hearts: The Tycoon's Ugly Bride novel Chapter 83

Chapter 83 Kiss Her

Louis couldn't control himself any longer. He reasoned that he had spoiled Blanche too much, making her have a bad temper.

He grabbed Blanche's shoulder with his big hand and lifted her up easily. He scolded, "What are you throwing a tantrum for? You kicked someone into the lake, yet you still have the nerve to get angry."

Her shoulder hurt so much. "Is his hand made of steel?" she wondered.

Having suffered enough, Blanche had to speak up. Her clear black eyes were filled with anger. "Yes, you are right. However, I didn't ask you to come find me. I told Sam that I wasn't hungry and didn't want lunch. What are you doing here? And let me tell you something. Your words seem right, but in fact, you just came to bully me. My shoulder hurts. Let go of me."

Blanche's face twisted in pain.

The corner of Louis' mouth twitched. "This woman, shouting and spitting at me, is like a wild animal. She is not gentle at all. She was more pleasing when she wore a mask," he thought.

Seeing Blanche in pain, he couldn't bear it. He loosened his grip and whispered with a faint smile, "You finally talked to me. Why didn't you keep silent?"

"You hurt me. of course, I have to speak. I'm not a fool."

"Is your head injured?" Louis squinted, his eyes fixed on the bandage wrapped around Blanche's head. He noticed it earlier, but Blanche ignored him.

"It has nothing to do with you. Please don't meddle in my affairs. Even if I'm in pain, I won't let you spend a penny on medicine.," Blanche raised her delicate chin, treating Louis as if he were invisible.

"I said it's related to me, so it is. You're so ugly. Let me see if you were bitten by ants. You're making a fuss over nothing, using such an ugly piece of cloth to wrap it. Can you be any more tacky?"

Louis' tall figure came closer. He even pulled Blanche towards his strong chest. One hand encircled her neck, holding her head, and he untied the fabric from her head with the other.

The fabric was indeed ugly. It was torn from a basket to prevent it from hurting the hand.

Blanche's head was buried in Louis' chest. She was smelling his scent, something she was not used to. She retorted angrily, "Who allowed you to touch my head? I want to be tacky and make you lose face."

Nobody noticed Louis' faint smile, as if he was used to Blanche's rudeness to him.

But then, Louis noticed that the gray fabric was wet, with a dark red bloodstain. He narrowed his eyes and realized that Blanche's head was indeed injured.

A large hand touched Blanche's furry head, exploring it.

Soon, Louis found a wound on the back of her head.

He held Blanche's head, examining it closely. The skin was broken, and the area around the wound was swollen like a bun, but it was covered by hair and not visible. Immediately, his face became sullen.

"Don't touch me! You are not allowed to touch my head." Blanche was as stiff as a board, not liking the touch of Louis' large hand as if he was petting a puppy.

Louis let go of Blanche with cold eyes.

"How did you get the wound on the back of your head?"

Blanche took a step back, crossing her arms over her chest in self-defense.

"Hmph! Stop pretending to be kind. I feel lucky that you didn't strangle me. This wound has nothing to do with you. Now leave and stay away from me."

"Did Cathy do this?"

Louis pursed his thin lips and tried to suppress some emotion. "Sam is right. Who would kick someone for no reason?" he thought.

Blanche hesitated for a second and met his cold eyes. She rolled her eyes and wondered how he knew about it.
