The person who had jumped down from the tree quickly caught Blanche and turned around. A sharp dagger was pressed against Blanche's neck. Blanche felt a chill on her neck and widened her eyes in shock. "What the hell is going on?" she wondered

"What are you doing?"

The villain threatened in a harsh tone, "Don't move, or you will be dead."

Blanche turned her head slightly and caught sight of the villain's face. This person was one of the attackers who had assaulted her in the room last night, the one Louis mentioned had escaped.

Blanche's heart sank.

"Alright. I won't move. Sir, be careful with that knife."

The villain saw that Blanche was obedient and looked toward Louis.

"Mr. Herbart, if you want to save your wife, do as I say."

Facing a dire situation, Louis remained calm, showing no signs of panic.

"Let go of her. If you have the guts, come at me. You actually use a woman to threaten me. Are you still a man?"

Louis's face darkened, and seeing his aura, the villain holding Blanche took a step back.

"It is impossible to let go of her. Your wife is my hostage now. I want you to jump off the cliff. Otherwise, I'll stab her immediately."

Upon hearing that, Blanche glanced at the cliffside. It was a bottomless abyss. Jumping off would undoubtedly result in death. Just looking at it made her feet tremble.
