Caught in Love With My Previous CEO novel Chapter 52

Chapter 52 Samuel Caused Trouble

Tina thought it was Caitlyn, but it turned out to be John.

"Why didn't you go with Mr. Langford?"

John replied respectfully, "Mr. Langford was worried about any unexpected situations. Dale and Caitlyn are not capable of handling them. He only took Dale with him."

Tina nodded, understanding that it was a more conservative approach. She didn't agree with Samuel bringing the two rookies with him either, as even Molly and Ellen were much better than them.

"Do you need something from me?"

John nodded and said, "When Mr. Langford left, he asked me to find a neurologist to keep on standby. I found two candidates, but they are not very authoritative."

Tina understood and stepped aside, making way for John to enter the room.

To her surprise, John took a step back, seeming to avoid her.

"It's alright, I just came to inform you and see if you have any solutions here."

Tina sighed inwardly, wondering why the boss had such strange people around him.

Maintaining her composure, Tina simply replied, "Alright," and fell silent.

It seemed that John really just came to deliver a message and promptly left without caring if Tina had any solutions.

Tina closed the door and rolled her eyes, her mind already contemplating possible solutions.

There was a computer in the room, so she waited for Victor while searching for the contact information of the neurologist, Matthew.

A few years ago, Matthew came back, and Tina represented Langford Group in attending a seminar. She vaguely remembered him, but unfortunately, they didn't have any personal relationship.

This time, Samuel was up against formidable opponents. The two families were established commercial families in Xesxia. Although they didn't have the military background like the Langford family, their generations of business experience made them stable competitors. Samuel might not have the upper hand.

Even if everything else went smoothly, having Matthew help assess the patient's condition would be a kind gesture.

Quickly finding the contact information she needed, Tina's phone kept vibrating. It was Victor calling.

She sneered and answered the call, "Mr. Miller?"

Sounds of movement came from Victor's end, as he tentatively asked, "Tina, which room are you in?"

Tina casually gave a room number and emphasized, "Remember to come from the parking lot. I'll be waiting for you at the elevator over there."

Victor repeatedly agreed, unable to hide his excitement in his tone.

Without hanging up the call, Tina slowly moved to the floor-to-ceiling window and opened a small gap in the curtains.

Her room was on the sixth floor, and the angle allowed her to see the road leading into the parking lot.

As Victor continued talking, teasing remarks filled the conversation. Tina picked up a plate of strawberries from the coffee table and ate them with a cold expression, occasionally pretending to be absent-minded and responding with a few words.

"Tina, rest assured, I won't treat you poorly..."

In the phone call, just as Victor was about to continue, a loud shout came from outside.

Tina straightened her posture and looked down. She saw someone hitting Victor from behind.
