Chapter 62 Honey or Poison
The young noble lady sat on the sofa, crossing her legs leisurely. She looked confident and elegant in a red dress. There was a cup of coffee in front of her. She just put her hand on the handle and didn't take a sip. Apparently, she disliked instant coffee.
Tina stood in place and froze. The person she had always wanted to meet just showed up.
"Ms. Langford?"
Sylvia was fabulous with delicate features, but Samuel was cold and unemotional. It was thanks to Sylvia's mother, who was a stunning, noble, and charming singer.
"Sandy said you were here. I was passing by and wanted to check in on you."
Tina was confused. Tina and Sylvia were not exactly friends, and they even had a fight in Samuel's office back then. Tina had Samuel's best interests at heart and stopped Sylvia from breaking into Samuel's office and sealing a $3 million contract.
Sylvia spilled a cup of hot coffee on Tina. Tina still remembered the burning pain on her face.
"Ms. Langford, it's my pleasure." Tina came back to her senses from the memory and stood not far away from Sylvia. "Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to see me."
"You're no ordinary woman." Sylvia raised an eyebrow. With a hint of calculation in her beautiful eyes, she looked at Tina and said, "How could Samuel let talents like you work here? Doesn't he feel bad about it?"
Although Sylvia was Samuel's auntie, but was Dominic's half-sister. Kayden had an illegitimate daughter in middle age with the younger star. Kayden married Sylvia's mother for the sake of his career and fame. Sylvia was still two years younger than Samuel, so Tina was amused when Sylvia took the tone of an elder to call Samuel by his name.
"I'm just an ordinary employee. Langford Group has plenty of talents, and I'm insignificant," Tina said humbly and did not mention Samuel.
Sylvia smiled broadly, opened her own handbag, and took out a business card from it.
"It's a pity that you waste your talents here. I just opened an agency with a friend. Why don't you come to work for my company?"
Sylvia was trying to poach Tina. Tiffany and Coco couldn't help but glance at Tina. Other employees who stood outside and didn't dare to step forward were rustling and discussing, thinking, "As expected, Tina wouldn't be working here for long, and she could easily turn the tables."
Tina was calm because she was well aware of Sylvia's tricks and knew that Sylvia was just trying to mess with Samuel.
Tina moved closer and took the business card.
"Thanks, Ms. Langford. It's just that I've only started here, and I want to learn more stuff here. So I'm just afraid I'm going to have to let you down."
The crowd sighed, not expecting Tina to turn Sylvia down. It was the perfect opportunity to waltz right back to a privileged life.
