Chapter 63 Invite Him to Dinner
By the time Tina had everything prepared, half of the afternoon had passed. Walter called as she was pondering where to eat at night.
She remembered that she owed Walter a meal, so why not fulfill her obligation tonight? After all, she couldn't think of anywhere else to go.
"Hello..."
"Weren't you supposed to treat me to a meal as soon as you come back?"
Walter's tone was reproachful, like a child chastising an adult, yet much sweeter than he was.
Tina put him on speakerphone and began packing while saying, "Let's go to the Red House Restaurant. I'll see you there."
"The Red House Restaurant?" Walter yelled. "I had no idea you were such a wealthy lady. Is that why you recommended it?"
Victoria owned the well-known Red House Restaurant in Xesxia. It was always full and difficult to secure a reservation.
Tina let out a sigh. "I'm afraid Mr. Johnson wouldn't approve of other places, so I'll have to bite the bullet and spend some money."
Walter was walking on the street and chuckled. "Fine, I'll be there soon. Just wait for me when you arrive."
Tina agreed and hung up the phone.
There were only a few people left in the office, and Tiffany was sitting at her desk with a troubled expression. When she saw Tina leaving, she immediately rested her chin on her hands.
"Tina, you're so lucky. Are you going out for dinner with a handsome guy again?"
Tina smirked at her and gave her a cold smile before walking out.
It was difficult to get a reservation at the Red House Restaurant, but Tina had a VIP card given to her by Samuel, which made it possible for her to invite Walter there.
As the sun was setting and the lights were coming on outside, Tina arrived near the Red House Restaurant at around seven o'clock, just in time for dinner.
Before she had taken more than a few steps, a red Ferrari pulled up not far away and flashed its lights in Tina's direction.
Tina shielded her eyes from the glare and squinted to see who it was-it was Walter.
He must have meticulously planned his appearance. His hair was slicked back, and he wore dazzling earrings, giving him the appearance of a charming playboy that young girls adored.
"So you came to see me without even changing your clothes?" Walter walked up and raised an eyebrow at Tina.
Tina gave him a sidelong glance before walking into the Red House Restaurant. "As working-class people, we can't find a place to style ourselves up anytime, anywhere. Just bear with it. My natural look is nice enough not to hurt your eyes." she responded.
Walter chuckled and followed her inside.
Tina noticed that he was unusually well-behaved today, which relieved her a bit, but she still remained cautious, afraid that he might suddenly cause some trouble.
They entered the Red House Restaurant together, and Tina presented her VIP card. The waiter immediately politely led them to the second floor.
