Caught in Love With My Previous CEO novel Chapter 79

Chapter 79 Who Made Mr. Langford Sick

At eight o'clock in the evening, in the Golden Club...

In a luxurious and spacious private room, Jonathan and Samson were playing billiards. Every now and then, they glanced towards the sofa and couldn't help but smile.

"If you want to sleep with her, why not be more straightforward? You just got yourself sick with a fever, and it's not worth it," Jonathan said sarcastically.

Samson chuckled and played the good guy, saying, "Samuel is a person of taste. Don't always talk about getting laid with women."

"Maybe I'm shallow," Jonathan shook his head, then sat up to light a cigarette, and said, "But I won't compromise. When it's time to make a move, I won't hesitate."

"Do you think everyone is as much of a jerk as you?" Samson laughed.

They were singing the same tune while Samuel, who had been sitting still on the sofa since around six o'clock, didn't utter a word.

Occasionally, he would sneeze.

Jonathan couldn't help teasing, "You should go to the hospital; I'm afraid it might be some contagious disease."

Samuel took a deep breath and smashed a glass in his hand.

"That glass is mine, and you'll have to compensate me," Jonathan continued unrelentingly.

Samuel was speechless.

The atmosphere in the private room was strange, but Jonathan and Samson seemed to be enjoying the show. No matter how sour Samuel's face became, they could still joke around freely.

Then, someone knocked on the door from outside.

Jonathan said, "Come in."

A bartender entered and whispered, "Miss Lynd is waiting outside and says she wants to see Mr. Langford."

What a surprise!

Jonathan exchanged a glance with Samson, their eyes gleaming with curiosity.

Samuel sat on the sofa, his back facing the door. When he heard the name "Miss Lynd," he instinctively frowned. After a momentary pause, he responded coldly, "Tell her to go away!"

The bartender was taken aback and quickly nodded.

"Wait," Jonathan stopped him, put down his pool cue, and walked over. He said to Samuel with a smile, "Come on, she might have gathered up the courage to see you. You're too ruthless; it might hurt her feelings."

Samuel glanced at him and retorted, "It's none of your business."

"I don't care," Jonathan shrugged and kept pushing, "But this is my place, and I want to let Tina in."

After saying that, he completely ignored Samuel's stern expression and told the bartender, "Let her in, and bring a few more bottles of good wine."

The bartender didn't dare to look at Samuel's face and left the room quickly.
