Defying Fate: The Unstoppable Eileen novel Chapter 249

Inside the female guest room.

The gaze of Aurora and Sylvia simultaneously shifted towards the middle, towards Eileen.

Eileen, as always, exuded an air of nonchalant, her arms crossed in front of her chest as she watched the television. Her expression was unreadable.

She kept quiet, so Aurora and Sylvia didn't say anything either.

When Egbert entered the men's room, their television automatically shut off.

Silence filled the room for a moment.

After a while, the host came in and addressed the three female guests, "Ladies, could you please step outside for a moment."

The three of them were led to a closed room outside.

The host, with a smile, said, "Inside, are your husbands for the next two weeks. Please go in and take your respective husbands."

Eileen furrowed her brow.

Sylvia asked, "Who's my husband?"

The host chuckled, "You should ask yourself that question, how should we outsiders know?"

Sylvia suddenly understood, and whispered to Eileen, "We have to choose ourselves. If we choose wrong, it'll be embarrassing."

The host had already knocked on the door and opened it.

Inside, the three male guests were sitting on the couch. Seeing the door open, they turned their gaze towards the entrance.

The three men were all handsome, but the first one Eileen saw was Egbert in the middle.

Egbert was wearing a grey shirt, Eileen remembered it. He had worn it at home a few days ago, and she had teased him for being so formal at home.

In response, Egbert had calmly replied, "I'm trying to leave a good impression on you."

Eileen was taken aback. Ever since then, she dared not comment on Egbert's taste in clothes.

The host then asked, "Ladies, who will claim her husband first?"

None of them responded.

In theory, the one who was most confident and sure of who her husband was, should choose first.

Sylvia held Eileen's arm, preventing her from stepping forward, then turned to Aurora and said with a smile, "Ms. Bell, you're our senior and respected, of course, you should choose first."

Aurora was taken aback. She looked at Sylvia, then frowned, "Since you've said I'm your senior, I should let you younger ones choose first. You guys go ahead."

Sylvia quickly waved her hands, "No, no, no, if you don’t choose, we wouldn't dare. Please, Ms. Bell, don't make fun of us, you should choose first..."

Aurora clenched her fist. At this point, she suddenly remembered something and turned to Eileen, "Aren't you our boss? You choose first."

Eileen was startled, and Sylvia was also taken aback.

Sylvia blinked in confusion. "Boss?"

Aurora was about to explain that Eileen called herself their boss when Eileen calmly said, "Yes, she admires me and recognizes me as her boss. She volunteered to be my follower."

Aurora was speechless. She never said that! When did she ever admire Eileen? She just wanted to push the difficult task onto her!

Sylvia was surprised, but then she moved to Aurora's side, nudging her arm and whispering, "So, we're friends then. Are you a fan of Eileen, too? I am a fan of her work, what about you?"
