Beatrice couldn't gauge Jared's reaction, but now that she'd said what she had, there was no backing out. She stood up resolutely and started walking towards Jared.

"Jared, ever since I found out that you were marrying Agnes, my heart shattered. You're the best guy out there, and I've always heard tales about you. I just can't keep my feelings concealed any longer. I love you deeply, just as Agnes does. Can't you recognize that? And let's not forget, Agnes had a significant relationship with Elton Taylor for a decade before you came into the picture. Even though he betrayed her, they were inseparable since childhood. She dedicated her prime years to him, and she will always remember him. So, what's so special about her in your eyes?"
