"This way please."
The waiter was also more polite than usual. It was as if he had been waiting for her on purpose.
Daphne was surprised and wondered, "Could my date have reserved the entire cafe for their meeting?"
She followed the waiter to the second floor.
Daphne did not even need to look for her date. She instantly saw a man in a silver-gray suit sitting by the window. He held a chin in one hand and a cup, which contained what was presumably coffee, in the other. He was looking out of the window with his head tilted.
The setting sun bathed him in golden rays, and he looked as if he had a golden aura surrounding him, which made him look particularly mysterious.
He brought the cup to his lips and took a sip before gently setting it on the table.
Without looking, he touched the edge of the table with his free hand and drummed his fingers on the table without making a sound.
His fingers were long and slender with clearly defined joints but no callus. Daphne thought his hand looked like a work of art. It was the most beautiful hand she had ever seen.
Daphne's heart started racing. The man looked pretty decent.
Deep inside, she had been very reluctant to go on a blind date. However, she was beginning to feel a little excited.
He had an elegant demeanor, which suited her tastes. Besides, she was eager to find someone before Harry and Olivia showed up in front of her now that she’s aware of their imminent engagement upon Harry's return to the country.
People would be in a good mood when they encountered pleasant things. Daphne was no exception.
Daphne walked over gracefully and sat down opposite the man. Before he said anything, she apologised, "Sorry, I'm late."
The man was looking out of the window but turned his head when she spoke.
He looked fresh and energetic with short black hair. His bright eyes were framed by eyebrows that looked thick but groomed. His tall nose sat in the middle between those eyes and above his perfectly shaped lips. Everything was just perfect.
His features looked exquisite individually and fit together to form a fine-looking face.
