Married with the Broken Hearted CEO novel Chapter 27

Jaymee and the photographer are walking together while following the couple on the way to their last course of their date.
“Ohhhh, I had a great shot,” the photographer boasted as he showed Jaymee the picture he took when Chadwick and Adira were skating.
It is the picture when the two fell on the ice and Adira kissed her husband’s cheek. The photographer took the shot exactly at the time Chadwick was kissed.
“My skill isn’t rusty,” he said, chuckling.
Jaymee laughed together with her photographer. Well, this is the first time his photographer felt excited today. Before, the dates were too boring that she saw no enthusiasm to her co-worker.
“Actually,” the photographer murmured, “the two look so awkward at first. But now, there is a sudden mood change between them. Well, I mean it in the positive way.”
“I will agree,” Jaymee responded.
“Is it because they changed the course of their date?”
Jaymee shrugged her shoulder and answered, “Maybe?”
Then he looked at the couple in front of her.
Chadwick and Adira’s relationship, Jaymee believes that this isn’t actually real. She is a professional date expert; thus, it is easy for her to notice if the couple are really in love with each other.
Jaymee has connection with the opponent company of Adira and Chadwick. She was told to observe the two and if the news about them isn’t real, then she must write them in her article. However, Jaymee is an honest journalist.
After observing half of the dates, she was convinced that the news that Adira and Chadwick are so in love with each other is fake. However, her mind changed.
She found out there is really love between the two.
‘Unfortunately, it is an unrequited love,’ Jaymee said to herself while looking at Chadwick’s back.
But who cares if it is only unrequited? As long as there is, she will write the article.
----------------------------
When Chadwick and Adira started their date, it was the time when the sun just appeared on the blue horizon and the wind is cool and calm.
Cold with blew.
But with the rise of the sun, the mood of the day changed. Heat is felt. As the sun ascended, the day became hotter. People avoid going out during the time as the blazing heat makes everyone tired and perspire profusely, as if you have been out in the rain.
Afternoon approached, the hottest time of the day. The piercing rays from above fell on the ground. The heat is unbearable and oppressive.
Therefore, Adira wondered so hard why Chadwick chose amusement park as the last course of their date.
“Why?” she asked.
Chadwick looked at her, who’s standing beside him.
“Why amusement park when it is so hot?” Adira asked before she stared back at Chadwick.
Her husband quickly avoided her gaze. He forged a cough and answered, “I didn’t know that it is still hot outside. Since we’re inside the skating rink.”
Adira squinted her eyes to him and teased, “Didn’t you feel hot when I kissed your cheek?”
Turning red in instant, Chadwick looked at her with widened eyes.
He did.
He felt so hot after Adira kissed his cheek, and until now, even if all he does is stand beside her. Chadwick was too devastated at the fact that situation allowed him to realize he is indeed sees his wife as a woman now.
However, Chadwick won’t admit the truth.
‘I must not,’ he told himself.
“I did not!” He refuted Adira’s question.
“My husband’s voice is so loud; I feel even more hot.”
“If we still can’t go for a ride, we can stay at places with Ac and  wait until the weather gets cooler,” Chadwick suggested.
He looked around and saw the horror house.
“What about going to…”
He will point the horror house but ceased his words when he noticed Adira was staring somewhere afar. Chadwick traced where she’s staring at and saw the headband stands in the corner.
‘Don’t tell me…’ he said as he felt ominous.
“Let’s try that,” Adira offered as she pointed the headband stand.
“I don’t want to!” Chadwick disagreed. “We’re so old for that!”
“That’s the point,” Adira replied. “Sometimes, it is more fun to do things that you cannot do because of your age.” Then he pulled Chadwick on the way to the headband stand.
Chadwick is much stronger than Adira, and if he really hates it, he can overpower her. But his heart went soft for his wife already. Thus, he let her drag him on the way to the stand even if his mind said NO.
As they arrived in front of the stand, Adira looked at the different headbands which were designed with different animals’ ears.
Tiger, car, wolf, rabbit, pig…
Among the animals’ ears she saw, Adira thinks there is this one headband that suits her husband the most. And it is…
“Honey, try this.”
Adira grabbed a headband and placed it on Chadwick’s head.
“I told you, I don’t like this,” Chadwick murmured his complaint as he looked at his reflection on the round mirror from the side.
Chadwick paused, before a dubious scowl between his eyes set in, showing great displeasure.
“What is this? A deer?”
He could clearly see a headband with deer’s ears and horns.
“Yes. I chose deer for you,” Adira said, without looking back, for she’s also looking for a perfect headband for herself.
“Why deer?” Chadwick asked while looking at his reflection.
“Deer uses all his body to communicate with other. Their ears, eyes, nose, hair and tail express his mood and intent. When honey is angry, I could tell it just by looking at your expression.”
She stared at Chadwick.
Then she added, “Just like right now. You’re annoyed.”
“You… really...”
“You also look like a deer too. Your features I mean,” she added.
“No,” Chadwick disagreed. “I am more handsome than a deer!”
“Does comparing your handsomeness with a deer makes you feel good?”
“You are the first one who compared me to a deer.”
Adira just shrugged her shoulder. As if she did not hear his complaint, she picked up a cat ears and wore it.
“How about this?” She turned to his side while wearing the cat ears. “Do I look like a cat? Meow~”
Chadwick said that they are too old for this. But while looking at Adira, he just realized how cute she is while wearing the headband.
He stared at her sharp and alluring eyes, her arched brows, pointed small nose and cupid-bow lips.
Indeed. She looks like a cat; a sexy cat to be exact.
While staring at her, Chadwick imagined how sexy Adira would be if she dress in a cat costume; red revealing clothes, tail and ears.
Adira will crawl on his bed and lay down on his top.
She will lean closer, licking his cheek, his nose and his ear. When his eyes met her sexy gaze, Adira will whisper, “Meow~”
Chadwick’s temperature risen along with the scorching sun above.
He shook his head and tried to cool his mind.
‘I couldn’t believe this.’
Chadwick could not believe that in the middle of the day, he dared imagine lewd things with Adira, which did not ever happen before!
Is it because she’s a great seducer?
Or because he admitted that he likes her?
Actually, he knows the answer. He is falling for Adira, and that’s why his body feels lust for her. And he will blame this on his wife.
Adira keeps on saying and doing things which look like she really cared for him, despite her effort to appear cold.
She cried when he got hospitalized.
She told him that she went to skate even if she didn’t know how to, just because she heard that Chadwick was once a hockey player before.
Adira is someone who said she’s cold and uninterested, but deep inside, she is a warm person. Chadwick thinks that is so lovely.
‘Oh my gosh. Now I think she’s lovely?! This is really dangerous,’ Chadwick told to himself.
Not only did he has a crush on Adira, but he started to imagine lewd things to do with her. If this continue, how will react if Adira seduces him again in the future?
He shook his head for the second time.
Adira, who saw him shaking his head frequently, laughed at his reaction.
“Do I look so ugly to you that you had to shake your head twice?” she asked.
Snapped out by the question, Chadwick looked at her. But he did not say anything.
“You’re red,” she noticed. “Chadwick the red cheeks reindeer.”
He removed the deer headband and placed it back. Avoiding Adira’s gaze, he covered his red cheeks with one hand and said, “Because its’ hot.”
“Really? Not because you think I am sexy with cat headband?” she teased.
“I d-don’t!”
Adira laughed at Chadwick’s reaction. Of course, she’s just teasing him, thinking how impossible it is for Chadwick to have such lewd thoughts with her.
But Adira thinks she will still try her best to seduce, not knowing that she’s half-way through success.
“Now I’m sweating,” Adira said, wiping the sweat on her forehead.
Her husband watched her wipe her head in slow motion.
He gulped.
Chadwick thinks that right now, he too feels so hot.
‘It’s the sun. The sun’s fault. Yes. The sun is the problem,’ he blamed the innocent gigantic star above.
“Shall we go there?” Adira pointed to the horror house that Chadwick saw before. “We cannot let our hard-working journalist and photographer to die there.”
Chadwick glanced at Jaymee and her photographer who’s scowling so hard while watching them from afar.
‘Who says they need to accompany us?’ Chadwick complained inwardly. On second thought, this date won’t happen if Jaymee did not approach them first. He felt guilt for protesting to someone, who is like a fairy god-mother, and so he agreed on Adira’s suggestion.
“Let’s go to the horror house now,” he suggested.
Nodding her head, Adira walked first towards the said place.
Chadwick was about to follow her, but halted his pace when he noticed an ominous aura around the place. He looked in the direction which he felt the piercing stare, but as he did, he saw no one.
‘Did I just get so sensitive that someone is staring at us?’
It isn’t the journalist or the photographer she’s with.
Chadwick felt that someone did watch Adira and him in secret.
‘Maybe it is just my illusion?’
He said before he followed Adira on the way to the horror house.
When the two were gone, as well as the journalist and the photographer, the person who’s secretly watching the couple, went out of the hiding place and stared at the horror house.
