Mistaking an Alpha for a Pimp novel Chapter 5

AMELIA'S POV

The next morning, I rallied my children and got ready to leave. I applied my deodorant to my wrist and grabbed Jason by the collar, he was being stubborn again. I still was not able to get my encounter with the pimp out of my mind, and I did not even want to spend extra time here.

I looked around again to be sure I was not missing anything I had brought along with me, satisfied that there was nothing much missing; I drew up the handle of the traveling bag and headed towards the door with my kids.

I unplugged my phone that I had earlier plugged into the wall socket close to the door and flipped it open. A notification caught my eye, but I was more intent on ordering a car to the airport, I checked my wristwatch and looked at the time on the flight ticket. If we don't leave now, we would probably miss the flight, and I was sure as hell I did not want to spend another day here.

I ordered the cab and decided to take a detour to the main gate, so I could say goodbye to Gary. They were still on the training ground.

“Hey Gary, how are you?” I asked with a smile.

“I’m fine; what about you? I see you are all prepped up and ready to go" he said, giving me a once-over.

The cool breeze blew my hair, scattering it all over my face. Using the tip of my index finger, I moved the hair backward. From the corner of my eye, I could see Jonas sneakily heading to the training ground. I shook my head, he was just too smart for his age.

“Let me give you a ride,” Gary said; breaking the chain of my concentration.

I could see Gary staring at my little kids with so much love and admiration in his eyes. I could not help but wonder if he had suddenly developed a bond with my kids in a couple of days we spent there.

“Nah, don’t bother. I ordered a taxi already; it should be here in a minute” I brushed off his offer.

I looked at his posture once more. Nice physique, finely cut hair on a nice build, with a broad chest and a fine athletic build. He was every woman's dream.

I shook my head, getting rid of the thoughts. I decided we should leave before Freya started to tease me again.

“Let’s go guys. Where’s Jonas?” I looked around in search of him.

Jonas was already at the far side of the compound, dragging the bag that was heavier than he could handle.

Gary flashed me a cute smile that almost threw me off balance and bade me farewell. I swallowed hard and nodded my head before I walked away.

On my way to the airport, I thought about the city, it was beautiful.

Maybe I could visit this place another time. Subconsciously, my eyes drifted to the back to glance at my lovely kids, and then suddenly

the thought of their father occurred to me. I simply shrugged it off and thought about work instead. There was no way I was coming here again, the pimp lived here, and I wanted to try as much as possible to avoid him.

GARY'S POV

"We will see again," I said inwardly as I watched her walk away in a hurry as if she was running away from something.

We had just finished training, and I headed to the cooler to grab a drink for myself. I decided to choose the fizzy one.

I was about to open the drink when I felt a vibration in my pocket, and then the familiar song that happened to be my ringtone came to life and I immediately knew who was calling, I did not have many callers anyway.

It was definitely the matchmaker; my kid sister.

I let the call roll on the loudspeaker.
