People came to their senses from astonishment after a while and burst into laughter.
"What is the loser thinking about? How could he be able to hold a wedding?"
"The most eye-catching bride? How ridiculous!"
"He couldn't even afford a ring! Where did he get the nerve to say things like that?"
"Look! Eliza has no ring on her finger. Can you believe she has been married for three years?"
"Eliza could be a bride only after she divorces the loser. Or she should wait for it until she's into heaven."
"It's said that Danny has been into Eliza for a long time. Eliza should divorce this good-for-nothing and get married to Danny."
......
Eliza felt so embarrassed when she heard people's sarcasm. She would rather Jeffrey never said that.
"What's wrong with you today? I knew you asked somebody to make the drama before? What now? A stunning wedding? Do you want others to make fun of me?"
"I told you to be a real man, not to brag! You feel good after the tall tales. What about me? Are you happy to embarrass me?"
Eliza almost exploded with rage.
However, Jeffrey looked at her with great affection and said, "Liz, trust me. I keep every word I said. From this day forward, I will never make you cry."
Eliza was surprised because it was the first time that she had heard Jeffrey talk so confidently.
He was so determined that she seemed to be obsessed and showed no doubt.
"Alright. I'll trust you for this time." Eliza seemed to be bewitched by Jeffrey and agreed with him.
"I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next. Why don't you come and take Eliza from here? Let's see who will have a better wedding." Selina said.
"No problem, I will throw her a fancy wedding. " Jeffrey replied.
"Keep your words! Remember to show up at your wedding." Selina can't help laughing when she thought that they would be like drowned mice at her wedding.
Mrs. Martindale asked, "what if you can't do that?"
"You've always wanted a divorce, don't you? If I can't do that, I will divorce Liz and get out of here." Jeffrey replied.
"Good! Very good! Don't regret on that day." Mrs. Martindale had always wanted Eliza to get a divorce and marry Danny.
"I will never eat my words. " Jeffrey replied.
"Liz, are you sure that you want to leave with this good-for-nothing?"
"Of course!" Liz said with determination.
"OK. Now that you make your decision, don't come to our company anymore. When you divorce this loser, you can come back again." Mrs. Martindale said plainly.
The crowd went silent again when hearing what Mrs. Martindale said. Nobody had ever expected that Eliza could be fired.
It's also beyond Eliza's expectations. She had been committed to the Martindale family. She couldn't believe that she got fired just because she was too angry and want to escape from here.
