Eliza knew Jeffrey was quite outraged. So, she rushed to him and asked, "Jeffrey, what are you doing? Are you alright?"

When Jeffrey saw Eliza getting close, his anger disappeared immediately.

Among the Martindales, only Eliza could end his wrath.

And he was just a civilian now and couldn't kill somebody in public.

Before, whoever dared to humiliate him like this would have died a thousand times.

Jeffrey's men would tear that person apart even without Jeffrey's order.

Because humiliating the Tiger General of Defense was humiliating the Emperor.

Then Eliza shouted at Selina, "Selina Martindale, that's outrageous! Jeffrey is my husband. You shouldn't throw your bowl at him!"

Eliza could no longer stand Selina.

Although Eliza bore no love towards Jeffrey, it's far from disgust.

Their marriage wasn't based on love. In their three-year marriage, Eliza was the decision-maker, while he did all the household chores including doing the laundry and cooking.

One would be affectionate to a dog after raising it for three years, not to mention human beings.

It might not be love, but more like a family bond.

Selina had recovered from the shock by the time. Seeing that Jeffrey was not as angry as before, she no longer felt scared.
