The wedding organizers soon arrived.
They took a few strands of Qiana's hair and carefully placed them in a box. Unable to contain his excitement, Wesley said to her after they left, "Qiana, Tremaine sure thinks dearly of you! He must be planning to keep it forever! When a man truly loves a woman, he will keep her hair to always remember her by!"
Qiana didn't think that profoundly until she heard Wesley's words.
She quirked her lips, saying, "Of course he thinks dearly of me."
Wesley continued flattering Qiana. Elated by his praises, the woman on cloud nine would never have thought those hair were not for that so-called memento.
Her hair was now in Sheldon's hands.
He took her hair and Montez's to the DNA paternity test center.
"It'll take about three days for the results to come out, Mr. Hawls," a staff member said respectfully.
Sheldon nodded. "I'll come back in three days
then."
The sky was grey as he stepped out of the DNA paternity test center.
It was a gloomy day that day, not good.
Taking a gander at the weather, Sheldon couldn't help wondering.
Why had Mr. Tremaine ordered him to do all these investigations lately?
He had even ordered him to take Montez and Qiana's hair for DNA paternity testing. Could it be that Mr. Tremaine...
Sheldon felt a wave of shock in his heart. He tried not to think about it.
He had a premonition.
Something major was going to happen.
Three days passed by in the blink of an eye.
Yesseca made the trip to Preslie's house in the evening.
She was going to settle things with Preslie's parents.
As soon as she entered, Preslie's parents looked at her indignantly. "Miss Cowell, you must be afraid our uproar will ruin your business, seeing that you've been visiting us several times."
Yesseca didn't answer.
She was speechless.
There was no way she'd be afraid of a couple of scoundrels.
She just didn't want to make things difficult for Preslie.
After all, no matter how bad Preslie's parents were, they were still her parents. It would be best for them not to burn down any bridges.
Yesseca immediately took out a bank card containing half a million dollars.
Of course, she didn't have that kind of money. She had borrowed it from Selina.
Selina didn't even ask what she would do with the money, giving it just like that.
"There's half a million in here," Yesseca said, "As long as you promise not to ask for the shares, it's yours."
Although they had agreed not to take the money, the Fernandez couple couldn't help being tempted when they saw the card.
Calter looked away.
He whispered into Celine's ear, "Don't be greedy over half a million dollars. Think about the money well gain with the shares."
Only then did Celine look away, reluctantly.
She took out a contract from her room and placed it in front of Yesseca. "Calter and I had a lawyer draft this contract. We're not greedy people; we just want 30% of the shares. Sign it now."
Yesseca was rendered speechless.
The Fernandez couple managed to stump her with their shamelessness once again.
It was a big no from the beginning, yet they hired a lawyer and drafted a contract?!
