This was why Bria felt annoyed every time she saw Kaleb. She couldn't beat him, and she didn't dare to mess with him behind his back.
She had even tried being friendly before. She smiled, spoke kindly, and once invited him to her birthday party. Another time, she offered to take him out for a drive in her sports car. His answer had been simple. "Get lost."
Nothing she did could move him. He stayed distant and proud, and nothing seemed to tempt him—money, favors, or charm. None of the tricks that Bria had previously used worked on him.
So how had her father managed to win over someone as powerful as Kayla?
Bria thought about it for a moment. He probably seduced her.
Fuck this!
Her expression twisted immediately. Bria had grown up in a wealthy family and had seen plenty of the world. She had understood relationships between men and women since she was young. After she became an adult, she had even chosen a handsome man with a simple background to spend a night with. Sometimes it was annoying, but sometimes it felt beneficial too. When it felt good, she didn't feel like she had lost anything.
Even so, the thought of charming him made her angry. How could she lower herself like that?
Her father might have done it, but she refused to be that spineless.
Of course, if she really seduced Kaleb, lured him into bed, secretly took photos, and used them to threaten him while playing with his feelings, the idea did sound a little thrilling. But what if he lost his mind and she ended up getting dragged into his mess?
No way. Bria refused to be wronged. She didn't even like Kaleb; there was no way she could force herself to sleep with him.
But then again, how else was she supposed to deal with him?
Pretending to be a good person in front of the innocent Shirley had been easy. Winning Shirley over had taken almost no effort. Kaleb, however, was different. He was the only one who had ever given Bria this much trouble.
She hadn't felt this frustrated in a long time.
"Stop stressing yourself," Andrew said with a grin, rolling his eyes. "You're going to turn bald at this rate." It was rare for Bria to run into a problem she couldn't solve. Andrew clearly found it entertaining.
Since she couldn't come up with a solution, Bria decided to stop thinking about it for now.
From what Kaleb had said earlier, it sounded like Troy had upset Ayla again. Bria quickly sent Ayla a long message, scolding Troy while also comforting her and trying to cheer her up.
They were two different matters. Since Troy had bullied Ayla and Bria knew about it, she would apologize to Ayla for him.
Troy had been acting crazy behind her back lately. There was no way she could expect his brother to suddenly learn how to make a woman happy like a normal person.
...
After Ayla left, Troy soon realized the video had been filmed by Max and sent to her.
The only thing he didn't know was when Max had sent it.
If Max had only sent it recently, then it wasn't a big problem.
However, if Max had sent it on the day Skyla returned to the country, it was likely that his friend had betrayed Troy.
Right now, though, Troy didn't care about settling scores with Max. His mind was full of Ayla.
