Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 656

At first, the twins were just a way for Troy to win Ayla back. But after more than a month with them, something changed. His fatherly instincts slowly woke up. He began to care more about the babies.

Being a good father was good for the twins.

And when the twins were happy, Ayla seemed happier too. Now Troy spent a lot of time with them. He held them, played with them, and stayed nearby whenever he could.

Ayla's whole focus was on the children.

Sometimes Troy even went to her company on purpose, making sure everyone knew he still had ties to her.

He had shown up at Centurion Entertainment more than once, waiting for her to finish work. His presence was intimidating. The employees felt uneasy around him, but no one dared ask him to leave.

Ayla didn't react at all. It was as if she had shut the door on love. Whatever he did no longer moved her.

But Troy couldn't stop. He had to keep chasing her.

"I'm going on a business trip for a week," Ayla told him at Blue Villa. "Take care of the twins. I'll bring them gifts when I get back."

Troy looked at her. "What about me? Do I get a gift?"

"No," Ayla said without thinking.

"I've behaved well these past two weeks," Troy said, half teasing. "Don't I deserve a reward?" He was getting better at charming her.

Ayla gave him a look. "You're not a kid. Why do you need gifts?"

"I'm not asking for just any gift," he said. "I want one from you."

Ayla had noticed that Troy had changed lately. For the sake of future cooperation, buying a small gift at the airport and giving it to a business partner as a friendly gesture wasn't such a big deal.

"Let's see," she said. Then she bent down and kissed both twins on the forehead. After that, she headed to the door.

The moment Troy realized she would be gone for a week, panic crept in. He stepped forward and pulled her into his arms. Even when she glared at him in annoyance, he buried his face in her neck. "I'll wait for you to come home," he said quietly.

"I already told you," Ayla said, pushing against him, though she couldn't move him. "Don't hug me without my permission."

"Just for a moment," Troy said quietly.

Ayla's patience snapped. "Do you want me to play that video again?" she warned.

His body stiffened, and he slowly let go of her. He looked at her deeply, trying to hide the panic in his heart. "I'll make up for everything," he said seriously. "Little by little."

Ayla studied him for a moment, then turned her face away.

She got into the car that would take her to the airport. As the car started moving, her phone suddenly buzzed.

When Ayla opened it, she saw the message had been sent by Draven. Her heart skipped a beat.

But the message had already been deleted. If she had checked her phone a few seconds earlier, she might have seen what he wrote.

She waited, thinking Draven might send another message. But nothing came.

After a while, she sighed. Forget it.
