From Ashes of Scandals to His Embrace novel Chapter 416

Kent seemed to get what Laurinda was saying. He let out a long, excited neigh and pranced in place, clearly impatient. Laurinda handed his reins to a staff member, then turned to the others with a smile and led them over to see Jasper’s new horse. It was a stunning, pure white beauty, its coat shining like silver silk under the sun.

“So? What do you think? Do you like it?” Laurinda asked.

The moment Jasper saw Osborn, he was completely blown away. He’d never seen a horse this gorgeous in his life. For a second, even Kent didn’t seem quite as impressive.

“Oh my god, Laurinda, where did you even find this horse? Look at that pedigree…” Irvin stared in disbelief at the nameplate on the stall door. He knew a thing or two about horses, but even at the best stables in Cabinda, he’d never come across a bloodline this pure. He’d only seen something like this in magazines.

Laurinda just shrugged, a little embarrassed by the attention. “You’re making it sound like a bigger deal than it is. It’s just a birthday present for Jasper. Jasper, go change into riding clothes and let the staff take you for a spin.”

Once Jasper went off with one of the attendants, Laurinda turned back to the rest of the group and waved her hand.

“Feel free to try out any of the horses here. If you see one you like, go for a ride.”

A few of them immediately perked up and hurried after the staff, leaving only Arrow standing awkwardly by Laurinda’s side.

“You’re not going to ride?” Laurinda asked, a little surprised.

Arrow smiled and shook her head. “I don’t know how. Honestly, horses kind of scare me.”

Laurinda hadn’t expected that, but she just grinned and slipped her arm through Arrow’s. “No big deal. If you’re not into horses, why don’t you come grab a milk tea with me?”
